Answer:	There are only two types of cables, Category 1 and Category 2.HDMI additionally offers a Premium certification for 18Gbps, there is no 27Gbps certification as Monster claims this cable is certified for.HDMI versions are 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.2a, 1.3, 1.3b, 1.4, 2.0 and 2.0b. This refers to the connection inside the device, not the cable. Cables are much simpler.At distances of 4ft, all cables should work even with the new Ultra HD Blu-ray discs. If you're paying more for a cable like this one, it's for the build quality and warranty, not the performance.

Answer:	Hi Matt, this cable is expensive. It is however a very good one. I spent a lot of money on my 4K TV, and I can tell the difference in vibrancy of colors . The cheap cables just transmit the picture in a more flat way. I'm not sure if $100 monster cable is better than $100 cable from another company, but I know that you are going to pay to have a well shielded cable that's capable of transmitting a lot of data. You need to enable all HDMI 2.0 features in your TV settings by yourselves, such brand as TCL, Sony, Sharp, etc. These TV could have all the features of HDMI 2.0 after enabled in setting and also could watch 4K 60hz (HDR10, Dolby Vision, HDCP2.2). The HDCP 2.2 is not defaulted, be sure to go into settings and change it, please refer to the first Top rated review. Sony and sharp TV, find and switch to "Enhanced HDMI" in the TV settings menu. Yes you can paint it your wall color. The speakers come with a clear plastic insert which act as masks for the frame. The preferred and probably the best method to paint the frames and grill is with sprayed paint...you can spray your custom paint with a kit available at your better paint store. Noise and interference that can degrade an HDMI signal is often introduced at the connector. Question:	Some HDMI say it suport 3D, does this model support 3D
Answer:	Yes, according to Monster's Web site (http://www.monsterproducts.com/productdisplay.asp?pin=3831&id=8541) this cable does support 3D.
Question:	Does the cable have ethernet
Answer:	I don't know. I connected a CAT5 cable to my device as part of my install and didn't test the HDMI cable for ethernet. The cable does a great job with video and audio. The HDMI specification states that it will transfer data up to 100 mb/sec, so you could give it a try.

Pabst as to those tech articles you read: it is very possible you may recieve a good cheap cable being that all the stars were in allignment that day and the person assembling them in the sweatshop in china was having a good day and that the solders were all perfect and there were absolutely no kinks in the wire when it was made. truth is you get what you pay for, the reason the other cables are cheaper are this. 1) they buy thinner guage wire at discounted rates as it was a (second real with kinks or miscolored wire stock that noone else would buy. 2) the materials used are substandard even in the countries they are made in hence they are being dumped here. 3) slave labor is cheap. 4) absolutely 0 testing of these cables are performed, this is important they believe that the designs stand for themself and that there are no possible ways that there could be flaws in the manufacturing process so testing would just cost more and is an unnecessary extra step. I have bought both good top dollar and cheap cables. I get completely aggravated when the cheap cables would have 3 of 5 dead cables and then you cant return just the 3 dead cables they want to return all for the exchange even the good ones. then the next batch you get 1 of 5 good cables. point being if you have the time to waste going through junk til you finally get what you need go ahead and buy cheap cables. however if you want it to work right the first time no matter the length of the cable trust me its cheaper especially if in a professional environment to just buy the good cables the first time.
