12 best coax cable for internets
Coaxial cables, often referred to as coax cables, are a type of electrical cable used for transmitting various signals, including internet, television, and radio signals. They are widely used in electronic communication systems and are commonly associated with video and audio connections. These cables are typically categorized under F Pin Coaxial Tip, Video Cables, Cables Interconnects, Audio Video Accessories, and Accessories Supplies in electronic stores.
Here are some key aspects and features of coaxial cables for internet connections:
F Pin Connector: Coaxial cables used for internet connections typically have an F-type pin connector at the end. This connector is threaded and is commonly used for connecting cables to devices like modems, routers, and television sets.
Shielded Construction: Coaxial cables have a layered structure consisting of a central conductor (usually made of copper or aluminum), an insulating material, a metallic shield, and an outer insulating layer. This shielded construction helps prevent signal interference and ensures a stable and reliable internet connection.
Impedance: Coaxial cables for internet use typically have a characteristic impedance of 75 ohms, which is the standard for most residential and commercial applications.
Frequency Range: Coaxial cables used for internet can support a wide range of frequencies, making them suitable for transmitting high-speed data signals.
Durability and Signal Integrity: High-quality coaxial cables are designed to maintain signal integrity over long distances and resist environmental factors like moisture and electromagnetic interference.
Variety of Lengths: Coaxial cables are available in various lengths to accommodate different installation scenarios, whether it's for a home network setup or a larger commercial application.
Compatibility: Coaxial cables are compatible with a wide range of devices, including cable modems, satellite receivers, television sets, and other audio-video equipment.
Easy Installation: Coaxial cables are relatively easy to install. They often come with connectors pre-attached, and most modern devices have clearly labeled input and output ports for coaxial connections.
Standardization: Coaxial cables are subject to industry standards, which ensure that they meet specific criteria for performance and compatibility.
When purchasing coaxial cables for internet use, it's important to consider factors such as the required cable length, the type of devices you'll be connecting, and the specific internet service provider's recommendations for cable specifications. Additionally, it's advisable to choose cables from reputable brands or authorized retailers to ensure quality and performance.

THE CIMPLE CO, A Family Company located in the USA, is proud to manufacture this high quality and durable coaxial cable. This cable is available in Black and White, and comes in lengths from 1 foot to 100 feet (including our most popular lengths of 6 feet, 15 feet, 25 feet, 30 feet, 50 feet, and 100 feet). The center conductor is made of high grade copper coated steel that has been swept to 3.0GHz, making this a great application for Satellite, Cable, Wireless (including cell services), and Communication uses. With very low signal attenuation (2.75dB at 750MHz for our 50' cable) it can be used on long runs without the loss of signal or picture. We use high grade 360 degree compression connectors to ensure that this cable remains water and weather proof, without the loss of any signal. This ensures that the ends can withstand pulling, weather, extreme hot and cold (rated up to 167 degrees F). The coaxial shielding is 60% aluminum magnesium alloy braid and 100% solid aluminum foil (including an 18% overlap) to ensure that there is no interference from neighboring or rouge signals. The outer jacket is a flexible UV resistant PVC and has been tested to be used in many extreme conditions for use both inside and outside. The dielectric center is made from gas injected foam PE and has an almost perfect consistency of 75 Ohms +/-3 throughout the entire length of the coax cable. The outside diameter of the cable is 0.27 inches, about 6.85 mm, with the connectors being slightly larger at .4375 (7/16) of an inch (11.11 mm). The cable also has length markings every two feet on the side to make it easier to cut to length, if you need a shorter wire. We also offer a repair and splice kit for those who would like to cut and reinstall the ends on the wire. The kit comes complete with instructions and free technical support. We back our product 100%, with free returns, as well as free technical and customer support.

User questions & answers
Question: | any issues with connecting it to a cable modem looking to upgrade to RG |
Answer: | Are you having issues? If you have RG59 now are you sure the ends are installed correctly? I use RG6 because I have it. I recently used a piece of coax that I had left over from some equipment I has purchase long time age. I experienced poor picture. I started testing and replacing all the segments I had made only to find the same problem. Testing the pre-made section I found the shied open. Replacing the connector solved the problem. If it's just a short jumper say 6FT it shouldn't make any different. I have eight drops in my house (TVs, media center, XBOX, external tuners with record, etc.) and only have an amplified OTA (I'm a cable cutter) antenna and numerous splitters and I use whatever is in the garage. Distance could be a big difference. Has there always been an issue? Did your setup recently change? If you have an issue disconnect the the signal out and use a known good jumper to just one tv. If the problem is still there then the issue is with the source and not your cabling. hth |

Answer: | Hello Deborah K. Besche, This type of Cable & Connector will work..............BUT....BEFORE you Purchase..........First measure length of Coaxial Cable required from incoming Cable Service Provider outlet box in wall..........To TV CABLE BOX. (You may have to connect one Cable to Another Cable to achieve your Cable Length) To TV Cable Box. Then from measure from TV Cable Box to TV. Amazon has Everything you Need. |

Question: | Can I use this to split one Directv signal into two? In other words, get the same dtv signal on 2 different tvs |
Answer: | Thank you for the question. You can use the splitter outside, but it's recommended to use it in a house box or premise box to keep from getting water inside. Grounding is recommended, however, the splitter will work without grounding. The purpose is to keep your wires from damage, and potential fire damage in the event of a surge.Keep in mind, your cable system only needs 1 grounding point. So, if you have an established ground before the 3 way that's in place, that's all you need. (Don't add a 2nd ground) If you are unsure about grounding, it's best to have a professional look at it.If you have other questions, feel free to contact us directly through the buyer messaging system.Thank you |
Question: | Will this splitter work to connect coax cable to modem and connect to tv for cable at the same time |
Answer: | You don't need to connect anything to the input if you are just using the splitter for MoCa, but we recommend terminating the port with a 75 ohm terminator. |
Question: | Someone els has asked this question and I'm curious what the outcome was ??? Can you use this in reverse to connect two antennas to one coaxial cable |
Answer: | No. What you are looking for is called a diplexer, and you will need two to accomplish what you are attempting to do. |

User questions & answers
Question: | what does copper clad center mean |
Answer: | CC or copper clad is a copper coated wire. Copper clad is, in this case, a 20 gauge steel wire, that is then coated with copper to make it an 18 gauge wire. Since the higher the frequency, the closer to the surface of the wire, that the signal runs, in cable TV service, be it satellite or local, that makes this design fine for TV use.. But, since steel is not as good of a conductor as copper is, this is not good for long runs, in signal, or electrical transmission, as the steel will degrade the signal faster. If you need a run that is long, meaning, more then just in your house, then you would probably want to go more with a solid copper center. But, this is fine for most people. |
Question: | Is this cable rated at 3ghz? the directv guy was here and while i have plenty of rg6 cables, he said they must be at 3ghz for hd |
Answer: | Yes.. Pretty much any quality RG6 cable, like this, will be 3Ghz compatible. What you want to watch for is pre made cables, with cheap ends. Most of those are very cheap, and will not hold a good signal over any length. This is the better kind of cable, that will be compatible with any cable, or satellite service. What you want to try NOT to use, is any cable that is RG59.. Stick with RG6.. |
Question: | What is the shielding % of this product? 95%? (I read % is more important than the # of layers - product description says 3 layers |
Answer: | Partly right. Any quality RG6 cable, that was not factory assembled, will have a decent amount of shielding, no matter if it is duel (2), Tri (3), or quad (4) layers of shielding. All this does is prevent noise from getting in the line. The shielding is Duel is good enough that, that is all that cable companies run, when they run a cable line. The shielding has nothing to do with signal, as that is run on the center wire, not the outside shielding. What this is, is a piece of RG6 coax that was on a big roll, and then cut to length, and compression fittings put on the end. Compression fittings are the best kind to use. Because of this, it will be like the cable like the cable company uses, and it is water proof too. The cable itself will be about 2 times as thick, or more, then the cheap cables that you buy, that are premade in a factory. |
Question: | Do the connectors come pre-attached to the cable or are they seperate? The description sounds like they're attached but it's a little unclear |
Answer: | Yes, the ends are attached. The cable is ready to use. |

User questions & answers
Question: | How flexible is the cable, will it stay along walls and around corners, or does it just cool back to original coiled shape |
Answer: | It’s fairly rigid. You would have to use some sort of cable clamp to secure it to a wall. |
