Answer:	this is a 3.5mm stereo cable meant for audio. I'm unsure if the IR blaster is stereo or not, but if it is the same type of cable it should work.

Answer:	This is just a 3 wire analog 3.5mm extension cable. It will transmit whatever you connect to it over those 3 wires. Typically phantom power is only done with XLR type mic jacks and plugs. So if you are putting phantom power (48 volts) across this for some reason, make sure your mic supports it with 3.5mm or you may damage your mic.

Answer:	Really I don¨t understand well the question.In my case,I¨ve connected one extreme to the jacket of the home theater Sony , and the other extreme to the headphones, aprox 4 meters. until now it worked very well. The TV couldn't actually drive individual audio speakers with the two wire type interface.
