Question:	Does it need to be plugged into the wall for power
Answer:	The antenna picks up signals from the airways and feeds them into the TV via the coaxial cable. It doesn’t need other power.. The booster needs power and can be plugged into the wall or the USB on the back of the TV. I used the USB port and it works great.

Answer:	I’m not sure about that but you don’t have to have it on a wall. It can sit on a console or Velcro it to the back of your tv so it’s hidden.

Answer:	Yes, you can do this, but you need to purchase an additional interface.I don't recommend doing this because it will affect the reception of the signal.

Answer:	Although I do not know the difference and am unable to answer your question....It works great here in Indiana. We live in rural area and have satellite wi-fi. The antenna picks up all 19 local channels available in this area without any problems.

I put mine low against my house and got 28 channels when I moved it up over my house I cot 39. You can point the antenna where you want it then turn it for other channels. Just try and find what works for you.

Answer:	I have an existing DirecTV coax cable installed from about 8 years ago which went from the dish antenna to inside my house. I unscrewed the cable from the DirecTV dish antenna and used the included coupler to connect to this antenna and it worked great. Question:	Does the antenna only work with 1 TV or does it cover a house full of tv's
Answer:	It only works with one tv because you need to screw the end of the cord to the back of the tv. I thought about purchasing another for my 2nd tv. I did notice when I watch an NFL game in my area, the reception is poor at times. I'm not sure why this happens but the other local channels come in great.

Question:	Is the retractable version good or bad? There's a lot of mixed reviews
Answer:	The antenna I receuved was not a retractable, the one I have works superbly! The non retractable one is very limber, it will stand straight up and down but it's not so stiff that you it won't flex quite a bit. I feel any retractable antenna would diminish the value of using an antenna like this one. If you need a short antenna, then buy a short antenna, they are cheap and I have multiple antennas for multiple situations. If I'm working a festival with base station close, I run a short rubber duck, if I'm mobile/driving and will be far from a repeater or using simplex. I use this. I would recommend you buy a non retractable.
Question:	Is it safe to transmit with the antenna fully retracted? Can it harm the radio
Answer:	NO! The equation for an antenna length is: 2808/frequency=length in inches As stated by the Mfg: "When you are only receiving and not transmitting you can conveniently retract the antenna down to only 4 inches." So the only frequency that has a SWR of 1:1 is around 700 Mhz. If you increase the length up to about 6.3" than you could Tx at: 440 Mhz but that's it. You need to increase the length up to 12.7" for 220 Mhz. You need to increase all the way to the 16" mark for 175 Mhz. But that's not going to get you under the 3:1 SWR you will need for 2M at 146 Mhz. For that you need to get to a length of 19.2". So for all practical purposes this antenna is not suitable for Ham radio TX. Or even the MARS applications at the 150's Mhz range.
Question:	is their a better antenna than this one
Answer:	As a whip? Not really. Other types; then yes. A Nelson Slim Jim is my favorite. String it up a tree 10' high and i can hit a repeater 60 miles away on 8W with a 5-9 (thats perfect) come back. With this 771 whip, i can hit a repeater 30 miles away with same results... But think of it as I live in florida and the higher the antenna, the better (less trees and buildings interfering). A beam antenna will concentrate signals one direction. My 3 el handi is what i use to pick up AMSAT chatter. So the word "best" is purely up to the task. I have this antenna on my UV-5RTP unless im backpacking or tracking. Compared to all whips, this one is my favorite. Get it.
Question:	Amazon says it has a max power of 10w but Baofeng has it at 5w. which is correct
Answer:	BOTH ARE CORRECT. The BaoFeng radio puts out 5 watts maximum. This antenna is capable of handling up to 10 watts maximum. Your BaoFeng radio will still be transmitting at 5 watts, but if you ever chose to connect this antenna to some other radio that produced up to a 10 watt signal, it would still work. Any higher and you would fry the radio.

Question:	Can this product be used with an antenna rotators
Answer:	I have my mounted in this location. I have a ranch home. It gets much better reception in the attic than on the main level. The only problem (if that's what you want to call it) is that you cant adjust the direction easily. you will need to pick the best direction and leave it, or climb back into the attic and point in a different direction. I'm sure above the attic (outside) would work best but my wife won't let this happen as she doesn't want to look at it.

Answer:	It will depend on the length and quality of the wire from the Antenna and each TV. My best recommendation is to order the amp with the antenna however I would install the antenna and try the system without the amp installed. If you have a digital signal to each TV it should be fine. If you have a signal that is ok and you install an amp you will likely overdrive the tuner in your TV's and that is just as bad as not having a signal. Hope that helps

Answer:	That depends on where you live. I found the 7550 to be a capable UHF antenna in my location for up to 40 miles from the transmitters. However, it is not very good for VHF at those distances. If your channels are going to get repacked down into the low VHF band (Channels 2-6), it is useless. For channels 7-14 I found it marginal. It worked quite well for UHF.

You can use a website like www.tvfool.com to find the number of channels that are available in your area and the direction of where your signals are coming from. Once you have located the direction of the signal, position the antenna where it is facing toward the tower and perform a channel scan on your TV. This is a very important step. Your TV will NOT receive signals from the antenna without doing a channel scan. Answer:	Update, April 2018. Newer design Clearstream Eclipse is sig better & just a little pricer, If passive works best for you. I live semi-rural 25miles West of Detriot. Have tried many major brand indoor antennas, Mohu Leaf, Wineguard, AmazonBasics, 1byOne, etc. After fresh channel scan, Eclipse took me from 18 channels (22 depending on weather & season) to very clear 28 channels!
Question:	Can the Wineguard FL5500A antenna be used without power amplifier Hooked up
Answer:	I have had this 2 years now and love it. I found hooking it up to power BEFORE the splitter coming into the house made all the difference. Hooking the power adapter inside house right before hooking into tv did not well at all. I would get 1 channel. With power adapter outside before my house splitter I pick up 60 channels.
Question:	I have a tv that doesnt have a usb connection. How can I use these antennas
Answer:	The antenna connects to the tv using the same type of connection as a cable wire, so a usb is not needed. If you are replacing cable with the antenna, you can actually use the cable wiring in your house to connect all of your tv's to one antenna. Put the antenna in the room at the highest point in the house. Get a 2 way cable splitter. One end goes to the tv in that room. The other end connects to the existing cable wire. Follow the existing cable wire to your basement or wherever the cable comes in to the house. Get a 5 way splitter (for up to 4 tv's). Connect the cable coming from the room with the antenna to the input of the 5 way splitter. Connect all of your other tv cables to the outputs of the 5 way splitter. You will then just need to change each tv to use air instead of cable. Be sure to buy quality splitters with gold ends.
