Answer:	You do not need a converter box at all. We do not use one and have no problem getting several channels. My parents who live nearby have the same antenna. They use a converter box and get the same channels. It is your preference to use or not use a converter box.

Answer:	I only know if you are mounting it in the attic (that is where mine is and it works great) you might need some supports to mount it on. Answer:	The RCA website is incorrect, & I told them so but they haven't fixed it yet. The Amazon photo is correct. Be careful with the transformer, the fork terminals are only .015" thick now and won't stand up to anything rough. Also be careful when putting the hardware on the phase bars, they are also weaker now. I returned my antenna because of these items breaking.
Question:	Is Antenna the same regadless of mast? The specs say with mast, has 35 mile range but without mast, 60 mile range. Is the mast really 58' long
Answer:	I did not measure the mast, (it remains up on the roof) but I can see it is about 48 INCHES long, perhaps a bit longer.The mast should not effect the reception range. (I just retired from broadcasting as an engineer after 50.25 years)

Answer:	A "thrust bearing" is a separate item that is mounted above the rotor. None of these consumer rotors have "brakes". These are not Amateur rotors costing upwards of $300.

Answer:	The Motor and Gear of VH226F can survive max torque 300 lb. inch at the vertical loading position (rotator turning), and max torque 210 lb. inch at the horizontal position (wind blowing).

Question:	will this work on my camper
Answer:	It worked great with my YAGI antenna but you probably have a much smaller type for your camper. However, the amplifier doesn't care what kind of antenna you have. If your antenna is inside a camper with a metal shell, give up. Otherwise, one thing you might consider is powering the amplifier directly from your battery instead of your 115VAC inverter.
Question:	Can this be installed by the tv? My antenna is not close to a power source to plug it in
Answer:	The Preamp is outdoor rated and you deliver it power via the coaxial that used to go to the antenna and then insert a new coaxial between it and the antenna. It comes with some rubber boots to weather protect those connections. You can then put the power inserter at the other end of the coaxial. For single TV setups just place it near the TV and plug it into the wall. For me, I placed the power inserter on just before the distribution amp which is less then 10 feet away (mostly vertical) anyway and have both amps running off the same outlet. I lost a whole bunch of station just using the distribution amp but adding this near the antenna brought them all back and even stronger then before. The station 34 miles away is still weak and the one 56 miles away is just a blip but those less then 24 miles away are solid like when I was only running 1 TV.
Question:	If i only plug in the power injector and not the pre-amp with fm trap will it still improve my signal
Answer:	No, I think you're trying to improve your signal without powering this device. I've done that for my neighbor using a Radio Shack 15-1113b distribution amplifier downstream from this. The Radio Shack unit somehow provide power to this unit and the signal is perfect by regulating over-signaling, which is common for this type of preamp. If you can't find the Radio Shack, you can probably find the Leviton 48210-VA that works similar.
Question:	If the power goes out, does the antenna still work with the Preamp
Answer:	I doubt the device requires 120VAC. More likely, the Wall Wart reduces / transforms the 120VAC to a lower direct current voltage. Thus, were it essential to retain the amplification during a power outage, I suspect one could fix up an alternative power source. Absent this approach, cutting the AC power would turn the amplification off and it would n longer boost the signal at all.

Answer:	Mine are 38 1/2" from the base. The base is about 1 1/2", making about 40" from the tabletop surface. If you fully extend them horizontally, have to add 2 x 38 1/2" plus the distance across to base of 3 1/2" for a distance of 80 1/2".Mhz does not apply, but knowing they rate frequency by the channel pickup of channels 2-13 should give you an idea of the range.

Answer:	No. there is no provision or need for grounding. Mine works better not plugged in than when it has power to it. Just the coax cable works great, would recommend highly. Others may need the power but worth trying without.

Answer:	I use it indoors so I would assume that mounting it in a garage attic is fine, so long as you can get it wired to your TV.

Answer:	The amplifier is probably built into the antenna. The little "amplifier" box on the cable inside is the "power injector" that simply sends 12V up to the antenna over the coax.

Question:	How does this hold up in the heat in an attic
Answer:	I am not sure how the antenna body holds up to the heat in the attic, but my amplifier is in my attic and it has been working fine for the past six months with no degradation in signal. My antenna body is mounted at the high point of my roof along the eve of the roof and is exposed to the elements (sun, rain and wind). It performs very well meeting my expectations for this particular model.
Question:	In my apartment, I have it laying on top of our vertical blinds which is the highest point of our living room. Only get one channel, any suggestions
Answer:	Do you have the amplifier plugged in correctly- between the antenna and the TV and power supply plugged in? Have you used auto-tune or channel search on your TV to find channels? Try moving the antenna just outside the window- the cable should squeeze between the window opening still allowing the window to close (my neighbor did this). If you have an old satellite dish mounted anywhere outside with cables running in, you can actually mount the antenna to the dish and use those cables- would probably get best reception. Good luck!

Answer:	40 years in the business. All american attitude: if it costs more; it has to be better. The SKY60 itself performs well. NOT $150.00 well. This RCA unit will outperform ALL antennas of its catagory. Here is the answer. Use RG-6 Quad shield coaxial cable only. 1 foot or 100 ft; no difference. Use the "in line" amp privided AND at least a 10 to 15db adjustable amplifier after the inline amp but BEFORE any splitter. No cascading splitters any time. RG-59 coax cable (provided) is absolutely sub standard. This unit is rated at 40 mile distance. Have seen 80 mile distance with this unit as well. Outdoor "peak" mount is a must for top performance.
