Answer:	This antenna was created to work in a sitting position. However, most other antennas are made to stand up straight. We have not tested the reception from the suggested position. It could work fine but we cannot guarantee that.

Answer:	Tests show the Black Berkey filters remove up to 95% of lead and a host of other heavy metals.
Question:	I have an older hitachi big screen tv with coax connection. Will this work for it on it's own or do i need one of those digital boxes also? Thanks
Answer:	There's plastic in it (the screws) so that sets off prop 65. The Plastic itself is safe but in the manufacturing some things are used that aren't. Prop 65 is waay too vast to be useful.

Answer:	In an independent test done last year, the Black Berkey filter elements with the PF-2 attachments filtered out the following:Uranium: 100%Lead: 100%Mercury: 99.8%Cesium: 98.6%Aluminum: 86.6%Copper: 100%Arsenic: 100%Strontium: 100%Cadmium: 100%The test they performed in this case was only for heavy metals, so it of course filters out much more than just these things, as shown in other tests. This just highlights the heavy metals. Hope this helps!
Question:	Will it work with a fire stick plugged in
Answer:	It depends on how much water you filter & how many filters you use (2 or 4). Also, normal city water varies due to local water hardness. We fill up the filter 1 to 2 times per day (usually twice) with 4 & change them every 6 months, but if we didn't have kids, our filters would probably last us about twice as long. However, this is still cheaper than other filtering methods we've used & does a much better job.

Question:	My old out door antenna connects to an adapter to run five tvs will this work or do I need five antennas and adapters
Answer:	Yes, you do.I am very happy with mine.Got it for every tv in the house, it is compact and performs much better then those advertised on TV, the ones that look like sticks you screw on in the back of tv...just threw one away because it did not work.
Question:	What are the volt and ma rating of this device? 12v and 100ma for example
Answer:	It works very well for local channels. In fact it is not intended to get anything from a long distance. Depending on your location you may have to minor antenna position adjustments to make and then have your TV do a channel search each time you adjust it. But if you are in a metro area you might not have to do more than one channel search and make no antenna adjustments. For the rabbit ears just fully extend them and separate the tips to 20 to 24” and leave them that way. I attached mine to a wall above the tv and it is very good. We are rural and high winds affect reception. But we put up with that because it’s all free.

Answer:	No, its not. I just placed behind the TV. Overall its good and working.

Answer:	I think they advertise up to 40 miles. We are on the east side of our city and get a couple outlaying stations via MapQuest/MSN Maps at least 29 miles away. One sub-channel we get is closer but fades on/off and we found it's a lower powered station. I think its definitely a good antenna but it would be nice if it was a bit more amplified to boost these fringe/low powered stations.
Question:	does it have to face a window to work? i'm surrounded by buildings in a residential area; second floor of a 3-flr building; thick cement walls
Answer:	I have mine installed in the middle of a room with Block walls on 3 sides( I doo have a window in this room). I would imagine the closer you are to a window the better, but doubt that it is necessary. I think the proximity of the stations has more to do with the quality of reception. Check out this website for station signal strenghts in your zip code http://transition.fcc.gov/mb/engineering/dtvmaps/. I was able to pick up most all of the stations in the strong and moderate categories. The stong channels appeared with good quality, those in the moderate category range from very good to barely acceptable. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Not sure. I have mine placed on a wall near a window, but when I try it on the window itself I get worse reception.
Question:	Can I hook my VCR to it
Answer:	Carol-Don't listen to Ben Houston...If your VCR has a NTSC Tuner, which it more than likely does if you have been operating your channels through the VCR, then you will be fine. Just connect the RCA ANT1650R Antenna to the "Antenna In" input on the VCR. Then, you will need another coaxial cable, to take that cable and connect it to the "Antenna Out" on the back of the VCR and run the cable to "Antenna In" input on the TV.However, I don't know your location. Therefore, the quality of the Antenna can vary and it is why I greatly emphasis that you go to the website of "Antenna Web" and check the stations that you should be able to receive with an over-the-air antenna by just simply entering your address. Remember the amplifier on the antenna 'boosts' or 'increases' the signal power of the antenna and thus allowing you to reach new channels and increase the signal strength of existing channels you are already accustom to with your current antenna. NOT what Ben Houston claims. In my metropolitan area I receive up to 24 channels (including all the locals of FOX, NBC, ABC and CBS) along with their affiliate stations. But, if I take the amplifier off the antenna the signal drops significantly. Thus, proving what I said earlier about the amplifier improving the antenna's strength to receive more stations and increase your current stations.That antenna has not disappointed me and I have purchased three for myself!
Question:	will this work on my camper
Answer:	It worked great with my YAGI antenna but you probably have a much smaller type for your camper. However, the amplifier doesn't care what kind of antenna you have. If your antenna is inside a camper with a metal shell, give up. Otherwise, one thing you might consider is powering the amplifier directly from your battery instead of your 115VAC inverter.
Question:	Can this be installed by the tv? My antenna is not close to a power source to plug it in
Answer:	The Preamp is outdoor rated and you deliver it power via the coaxial that used to go to the antenna and then insert a new coaxial between it and the antenna. It comes with some rubber boots to weather protect those connections. You can then put the power inserter at the other end of the coaxial. For single TV setups just place it near the TV and plug it into the wall. For me, I placed the power inserter on just before the distribution amp which is less then 10 feet away (mostly vertical) anyway and have both amps running off the same outlet. I lost a whole bunch of station just using the distribution amp but adding this near the antenna brought them all back and even stronger then before. The station 34 miles away is still weak and the one 56 miles away is just a blip but those less then 24 miles away are solid like when I was only running 1 TV.
Question:	If i only plug in the power injector and not the pre-amp with fm trap will it still improve my signal
Answer:	No, I think you're trying to improve your signal without powering this device. I've done that for my neighbor using a Radio Shack 15-1113b distribution amplifier downstream from this. The Radio Shack unit somehow provide power to this unit and the signal is perfect by regulating over-signaling, which is common for this type of preamp. If you can't find the Radio Shack, you can probably find the Leviton 48210-VA that works similar.
Question:	If the power goes out, does the antenna still work with the Preamp
Answer:	I doubt the device requires 120VAC. More likely, the Wall Wart reduces / transforms the 120VAC to a lower direct current voltage. Thus, were it essential to retain the amplification during a power outage, I suspect one could fix up an alternative power source. Absent this approach, cutting the AC power would turn the amplification off and it would n longer boost the signal at all.

Answer:	The amplifier usually doesn't help reception. What it does is boost the available signal from the antenna to the receiving TV/outlets. I have a splitter with 8 drops from the indoor antenna (NOT this one...mine is an older DB2 model but it is likely it would work the same...providing a signal to many distant rooms) to the rooms in a 3000+ sq ft house. The antenna (in 2nd floor bedroom) is about 20 ft from the splitter input port (basement). From the splitter the lines go as far as 50'or more. The amplified signal provides rooms the over 30 channels (counting sub/side channels) that we get. Our house is on relatively high land with pretty good view of the broadcast towers. Works very well. Love it. Add things like Roku and Amazon Prime plus anything else you want to pay for...we don't have any more.

Question:	How any antenna words depends on your exact location. does anyone know how to find out about that? or even, how does it do in mesa az
Answer:	I made a list of TO DOs for Antenna buyers I'll share here:1. First go to TVFOOL dot com. And type in your ZIP CODE. You will see a color coded list of possible channels, and the most informative info of any antenna site.2. From their list for your Zip Code look at the specs called "LOS" Line of site -- can you see the tower? and "1-edge" and "2-edge" -- this tells how many mountains are in your distance making these channels more difficult to get their signal.3. IF you are too close to a Tower, disconnect the 'amplifier' and try again without it. YOU may have to move the Antenna around to 'AIM' it directly at the visible tower I have to do the 'aiming' in order to get the 13 available channels I get.4. An antenna with the largest size square inches will pick up better reception from my experience. I am using the ANTV 25 miles HDTV antenna $9.99 on Amazon w/ included stand with GREAT local results, and have ordered the ANTV 30 Miles HDTV $12.99 Amazon -- larger sq. inches size BOTH NON-amplified type antennas and should get better reception, not more channels! This 1byOne antenna is larger size sq. inches of surface and as soon as it arrives tomorrow will test it out on my TV's. My local channels are all "LOS -- Line of site" so I will aim the new antennas at the visible tower 8 miles away. Even the multi antennas have to be aimed by me and I returned a ANTV AMPLIFIED antenna - reception was worse than non-amplified due to closeness of 8 mile away towers!** YOU will not receive 30-50-100 channels UNLESS the towers are near you and are not obstructed by mountains/terrain etc. TVFOOL,com list will give you best idea WHAT channels are within your reach/terrain/distance/line of sight. And "NO"... no one is paying me or giving me free antennas I also pay with my own money, just sharing my findings to fellow Amazon shoppers, as many of us do at times.
