Answer:	A buzzing noise is electromagnetic interference (from a TV, old dimmer switch, motors, CFL light bulb near the radio, etc.). This antenna will not remove EMI. You need to get rid of the EMI or move the radio away from it. Google "AM interference" (use the quotes) for more on this. That said, in some cases the directional characteristics of the antenna may help you receive more of the desired signal and less of the EMI, but don't count on it.

Answer:	The supplied coaxial is bare wire but you can use any double-ended 1/8" cord (like the AUX connector for your iPad in your car) to connect it to your radio's external antenna input. If your portable does not have an option to recieve MW from the external, antennas like this work great passively (set near your radio). You are going to be turning it and angling it alot anyway since MW ferrite loops are directional. So don't let the lack of connections scare you off. I use mine passively even though my Grundig 750 has an input jack and get better results that way.

Answer:	Yes it can, comes with optional cable for direct connection. But if there is an internal AM antenna, you will probably get a better signal by leaving the internal antenna connected and using the AN-100 passively (without direct connection).

Answer:	It works on the principle of inductive coupling. The large wire loop of this antenna picks up AM radio signals and then inductively couples the signal with the AM antenna of your radio. To get your best reception just adjust the position of the antenna and your radio until the signal is the strongest by using the built in tuning capacitor.

Answer:	The other wire can be used as a ground, which will only make it work better, but is not required. Try extending that spare wire with small gauge doorbell wire to contact a metal (not plastic) cold water pipe. If that works, you can get a pipe clamp at any hardware store to make the connection better. Also try switching the two wires (make the antenna the ground, and the ground the antenna) to hear is that makes any difference.

Answer:	I think so. Depending on the type of radio. Mine is in the basement of my home and it is a very old tube radio. This antenna made a big difference and worked very well.

Answer:	You didn't state where your hanging your antenna now in relation to hanging it on the glass block window, so if it's on the floor and you raise it up, then yes, it would improve your reception, but that is not an ideal place to put an antenna. By hanging it on the glass block window, most of the antenna is hanging below the window against the concrete wall and that does not make for good reception. Remember, the higher you can mount an antenna, the better the reception. Think cell phone, the reception is better upstairs than it is in the basement. I hope this helped you./

Answer:	This won't work directly with a SDR dongle. Most SDR have a frequency range of 30mhz to 3gigahertz which is above the range (120khz to 20000khz) of this antenna. You can get an up-converter which takes the low frequency signal from the antenna and boosts it into the range of the SDR.

Answer:	I have not hooked mine up but if you look at the illustrations you will note there is one with several short leads shown, one being an adaptor with two alligator clips, that would most likely work, depending on the radio, I have a Radio Shack SW radio from the 70s, it'd work with it, as well as my Kenwood R1000 with the PL type convectors. Yes it will work with the tecsun-pl-380. I did not care for this unit. It didn't seem to improve my short wave. I do have an outdoor antenna that help some with the short wave. But with only the telescopic antenna extended I am able to receive a whole bunch of sw 9500-9800 kHz, 7060 kHz so forth. I did purchase the non-active antenna for my tocsin, but have yet to try it. A simple coil of wire that they used in the day.

Question:	Receiver is built into an interior wall - will antenna work there or does it have to be located near window
Answer:	My experience shows reception with this antenna is very dependent on location and materials in the structure. My home has aluminum siding which seems to severely limit reception so the antenna must be placed near a window or my fireplace where the siding does not block signals. In the proper location reception is excellent, but until you find that location it can be very disappointing.

Answer:	Sony Antenna have a lots of different connection. This antenna just match the socket with F female socket at FM antenna part.
Question:	Does it work for a Sony MP
Answer:	It works if your Sony MP 3 have a F female socket on the FM antenna part and terninator on the AM antenna socket
Question:	I have a pulse surround sound system I broke the antenna that come with it will this one work for it
Answer:	It didn't work very effectively for me. I used it with a Rotel receiver, which has a ground and a signal connection. Tried the antenna both ways but got no reception the first time, and basic reception the second time. Overall I am not happy with the antenna. It's cheap, though, and maybe worth a try. Who knows, perhaps it will work with your equipment.
