Question:	Whats the difference between ena 1 micro and a1 machines
Answer:	I got introduced to the Jura because we have the Ena Micro 1 at my office. I love the coffee it makes and literally drink about 6 per day. I bought the A1 for home thinking it would be about the same, maybe slightly improved because of PEP and upgraded grinder. I was actually disappointed by the A1. I found that the coffee tasted weak (I used the same beans as we’d been using at the office), and just didn’t have as much flavor. I used it for about 10 days at home before ordering an Ena Micro 1 to try along side it before returning one of them because I thought it was possible I was imagining that the A1 wasn’t as good. I found that yes in fact even side by side the Ena Micro 1 just makes better tasting coffee, even after several cups, beans from the same bag (medium roast Toms Malawi), same grinder knob position (original default), and with water amount programmed the same. I know the A1 sounds awesome when you read the enhancements, but I really feel confident that the Ena makes stronger coffee that to me tastes better.

Answer:	The water fill part lid is 2 1/2 and container slides out. The coffee bean side lid is 2 1/2 also. The clearance on the water side is 2 1/2 inches for the lid opening. The same for the bean lid opening. The rest depends on how one fills the bean side.

Answer:	This product comes with the frother basket to put milk in and connecting tubing. It has a water filter with the extender for ease of putting in the water filter. It also contains cleaning 2 cleaning tablet for the machine and cleaning solution for frother. It has everything needed to get you started except coffee beans.
Question:	Why does this e8 have a lever on the milk frothing arm when others show the e8 with a dial on the the arm? is one an older model e
Answer:	I have a new E8 and the lever in vertical position gives maximum froth to the milk. When lever is horizontal you get plain hot milk with minimum foaming. I do not know if the dial serves the same function on older models. Probably does.

Answer:	I cannot answer the question directly but the machine allows a high degree of customization in the brewing process, Thus I you could compensate for any high altitude limitations

Answer:	Yes! My husband only drinks decaf so he uses the ground coffee option. I use the whole beans for my blend of half caf/half decaf.

Answer:	Technically an Americano is espresso topped with hot water. This machine and most Juras will make up to an 8oz coffee and you can adjust the strength. But they do so by pushing more water through the grounds. The new Jura Z8 is the world’s first to offer a true one touch Americano. It’s a different level machine, of course.

Answer:	It says 175 degrees. I can’t verify because I put lots of cream in (yes I am a weenie). But the coffee is awesome. I am not a big coffee drinker and bought this for my wife for her birthday because the coffee is great. I haven’t had a hot tea since purchasing this.

Automatic filter detection To enable the filter and coffee machine to communicate, JURA uses modern RFID technology. Any machine fitted with the intelligent water system (I.W.S.) recognises when a filter is inserted, automatically switches to filter mode and starts the rinsing process. Answer:	My Jura Z8 can connect via BlueTooth to the APP I loaded on my phone. I assume this is Smart Connect. You do not have to order anything extra.

Automatic filter detection To enable the filter and coffee machine to communicate, JURA uses modern RFID technology. Any machine fitted with the intelligent water system (I.W.S.) recognises when a filter is inserted, automatically switches to filter mode and starts the rinsing process. When the filter capacity is nearly used up the machine prompts the user to change the filter. If the filter is not changed, the machine activates descaling mode. After a certain amount of use, the user is prompted to descale the machine. This can only be done when the filter is removed, so there is no more risk of user error resulting from misunderstandings. * CLARIS Smart was designed for the following machines with the intelligent water system (I.W.S.):

Question:	Is this an authentic Jura product
Answer:	I haven’t quit, but it does make the cigarettes milder and you don’t get as much tar and nicotine.
Question:	Can I use this for the Jura A1 machine
Answer:	This thing is a total RIP off you stick the filter in it and push down it makes a small hole in the filter. You can do the same thing with a pin!
Question:	Is this a genuine Jura product
Answer:	No, it does not "pinch" the end of the cigarette. The cigarette is placed in the hole just below the filter and when the black part on top is pressed the 2 needles inside make 2 holes in the cigarette. This allows air to mix with the smoke. Once you get used to using 2 holes, you then move up to making 4 holes in the cigarette, and eventually work up to 8 holes. The instruction manual has precise instructions for placement of the holes. Answer:	I was able to use this on my s6 tab but only when the tablet's own pen was removed. It seems that all pens automatically work with all samsung brand devices so long as they do not sense a pen attached to them.
Question:	Are these necessary if I have a water softener? My water is not hard at all, but the machine is telling me to decalcify

Answer:	Plastic, set of 2 with extra tips. Fits in the little storage hole of my phone just like the original

Fight Limescale

When water is heated, limescale is deposited. Pipes narrowed by limescale not only slow down the heating process and therefore consume more energy, but may even cause the machine to break down completely. Limescale also has a negative effect on the coffee itself. Although a small amount of calcium carbonate is important to the flavor of coffee, too much gives the water an unpleasant aftertaste and prevents the coffee aromas from developing as they should, partly due to fluctuating water
