Answer:	no plastic at all!! just a soft, thin filter. so thin you could read thru it! it really reduces sediment and has a nice wide opening with a nice cotton string. be careful they are delicate.

Step 1: Add Freshly Ground Coffee

Scoop 8 - 10 teaspoons of coarsely ground coffee into the brewing bag.

*The opening of the bag was engineered with a larger opening than other filters to make it easier to fill. In addition, the double heat stitched sides enable the bag to stay upright while filling.

Step 2: Secure the Drawstring

Pull and tie the drawstrings securely to ensure no grounds escape.

This is an important step as it will keep the coffee inside the bag as the coffee expands when you pour the hot water into the French Press.

Step 3: Start Brewing

With drawstrings hanging over the top of the carafe, slowly add 197 degree water to the French Press.

As the coffee brews, it naturally releases gases and will begin to expand. To slow the expansion of the coffee, add the water at a slow pace.

Step 4: Steeping Time

Let coffee steep for at least 4 minutes*. After steeping, slowly press the plunger down until the bag is gently compressed at the bottom of the carafe.

*For some coffees, this might be different. If you find your coffee too strong, steep for a shorter amount of time. If you find your coffee too weak, steep longer.

Step 5: Relax and Enjoy

Pour coffee into your favorite mug and enjoy. Pull out the used Brewing Bag and discard in the trash. No more banging your French Press on the trashcan to get the grounds to fall out!

Answer:	First off, these bags are HUGE. Which is good, it means you can add as much as you like. Secondly this is dependent on how much coffee you’re making, how strong you like your coffee and the brand you’re using. I use BRCC or Starbucks, and use approximately 128 oz of water and use about 1-2 cups of coffee grounds. I like my coffee strong but I also make a lot. If you’re not sure, add more coffee. Worse comes to worse you add a little water.

Question:	Plunge takes two minutes, even with wet plunger. Any ideas
Answer:	Been using this for about 4 years. Push, pause for air to release 2-3 seconds, then plunge another 3-4 seconds. If you push before the air releases, you are wasting your time. Initial push creates a vacuum, and trapped air must exit. If it takes more then 10 seconds to plunge, you are doing it wrong; listen for the hiss of the air coming out then push a second time after the air leaves.
Question:	Does it come with filters
Answer:	Yes. But I much prefer the taste of coffee filtered through the ABLE metal coffee filter. Try a bunch of different water coffee ratios, brew times, and at least try a reusable filter. Home roasted coffee is best, but you can make even the pre ground over roasted stinkers from the grocery store taste o.k. This is a pretty forgiving method because off the sort brewing times.
Question:	What kind of filter and how much does it cost
Answer:	It uses paper micro-filters. The AeroPress comes with 350 filters. Replacement packs of 350 filters are sold everywhere for about $3. You can also rinse a filter under the tap and re-use it up to about twenty times.
