Answer:	The legs will sink into soft ground/sand but whether it sinks unevenly sort of depends on the actual ground- if two legs are on firm ground and two on soft then it will, as one would expect, sink unevenly and if it sinks very much it will become tippy. That said, I have used my chairs on the beach and they tend to sink evenly and I have never tipped over. I do not find these chairs to be overly sink-prone nor tippy. Hope this helps.
