Answer:	These boots are warm, but not extremely warm, so you could just walking around the city about at -10 or -15 celcius. Also they are waterproof too, but you can't walk through the river and stand dry :) They are waterproof enough to keep your legs dry in the snow or even rain, but please, be informed that the tongue isn't so waterproof.

Answer:	400 grams. I don't know why amazon can't make descriptions more clear. I live in Minnesota and these are good until single digits cold. Then you might want the 8 inch that come in 1000 grams, which is what I do. Switching between these and the 8 inch boondocks....have had them for 4 years and still going good. Anti fatigue are the most comfortable boots I ever had.
