Answer:	Yep. Much better for winter walks

Answer:	Mine are not entirely waterproof--if water goes above where the tongue is, it's game over. But, for short slushy puddles, they've worked well for me.

Answer:	I would use a cloth a some soap rub gently and let it air dry

Answer:	Yes, I typically wear extended calf boots and these fit well since they lace up

Answer:	On the laces there is a faint pink. But otherwise it's mostly grey.
Question:	How cold are they rated
Answer:	They have 200 grams of Thinsulate in the floor of the boot, so for around town that is pretty toasty. That is not as warm as boots intended for standing on the ice, fishing all day, that may have 600 grams or more of Thinsulate insulation. If you are planning on just being out and about in the snow and cold, and mostly moving around outdoors then I think these boots would keep you plenty warm.

Answer:	They’re rated water resistant, I’ve never completely immersed them...but my feet have always stayed dry wearing them.

Answer:	They are not insulated with fur or another product, but my feet are cold in the summer and these are my go- to boots for winters in Michigan. Wool socks and these boots and I rarely have cold feet.

Answer:	I bought them for a 3 day pioneer trek. We walked 18 miles. My feet were fine, no blisters...

Answer:	I bought them for my daughter at Christmas and she has used them during this winter time , in very cold and snowy weather. She will probably put them away for summer and wear lighter, more open shoes. They will probably be too hot for summer, unless you need a very closed and protective shoe??

Answer:	No and they are really heavy

Answer:	Yes! They are so good for ice and snow. One time my toes got a tiny bit damp though after walking through snow for a few hours.

Answer:	They are very similar to Paks so yes they are a little heavier than a hiking boot but they are warm & well insulated feeling very snug around the foot and ankle. I haven't yet worn them in the snow but expect to wear them in heavy snows and think they will do well.
Question:	I wear normally shoe size 8, what size do I need in these boots since they are running small- a size up or two? Thanks
Answer:	I usually wear an 8, sometimes a 7.5, and my foot is on the narrow end of regular. I went to a NF store and was able to try on s few sizes. The 8.5 was just right (with one pair medium thickness wool sock). So warm and soft. can drive in them. Love them.

Question:	Are these boots flat.? As in, do they feel flat to the heel and ball of foot.? Is there enough support.? Most snow boots offer no support
Answer:	I have had several foot surgeries on both feet therefore my feet are tender and arthritic. We have 10 acres and 3 bird dogs and I walk a lot in these boots and they are comfortable and provide support. However I normally wear a size 9 and I ordered a size 10 based on reviews. They do run small because they are well lined and padded. The 10 worked great for me.

Answer:	I'm not sure about the actual rating, but they have kept my feet nice and warm on some very cold days (-15 F to -20 F) in WI. They are definately legit cold-weather boots. Lots of compliments on their appearance too.
Question:	Would this work on wider calves? What is the maximum calf circumference
Answer:	The North Face does not provide a calf opening measurement. Reviews online indicate that these boots may not be a good choice for customers with wider calves.
