Answer:	Just tested with flashlight only on the red laser model. One set of fully charged batteries lasted 19 minutes before a significant dimming, followed by random on/off soon after. The second set lasted 15 minutes before the dimming then the on/off started at 22 minutes. The dim light is probably enough to recognize a face at 12ft. Please note this came with unbranded 16340 batteries, which are 3.7V. Some of the comments seem to imply CR123A might work, but CR123A batteries are usually 3V (https://mackoutdoors.ca/cr123a-16340/) - some rechargeable CR123A are marked at 3.7V. The batteries that came with the light are unbranded and marked as 1300mah, which seems suspiciously high. Most of the rechargeable 3.7V batteries on Amazon range from 700-900mah. Previous experience with unbranded or unrecognized brand batteries says they grossly overstate capacity, sometimes stating 3x higher than reality.

Dr. Martens is the stuff of legends. It all began near Munich, Germany in 1945 when Dr. Klaus Maertens injured his foot in a skiing accident in the Bavarian Alps. To make walking easier during the healing process, he designed a shoe with an air-cushioned sole. Using old rubber tires, he constructed soles that had air trapped within closed compartments. He showed his prototype to his engineer/inventor friend, Dr. Herbert Funck, and together they decided to develop and produce the shoes. Not only did the shoe solve the doctor's immediate problem, but it also started to sell well in Germany. By 1959 the two decided that they needed a company to produce and distribute the shoes, then called Dr. Maertens, in other parts of the world. At first, many manufacturers rejected the concept of an air cushioned sole as a short-lived gimmick. However, the R. Griggs Group, located in the village of Wollaston in England, decided to go along with the idea by creating the first work boot with the revolutionary sole. On the first of April 1960, the first cherry red eight-eyelet work boot was produced and named 1460. To sell the brand name better in England, the name was anglicized to Dr. Martens. The range was branded AirWair and the rest is history.

They were great really for my iceland/Greenland trip but I would use them instead of my other hiking boots that are more like a rough tennis shoe because these are more lightweight. I would not submerse them in water for a long time, but if it rains or you step in water, they are water proof. Glad I bought them.

Answer:	For me they would be too hot. My feet demand open toe sandals in summer! The boots are solid leather without any mesh panels for ventilation. They would be fine for fall or early spring with a lighter sock; and are excellent for winter with a thick hiking sock. That said, the fit is fairly loose, so they might work for cooler climates. Even if you can't wear them in summer, you won't regret getting them because you will live in them the rest of the year.

Answer:	Yes, I would say they are really wide. I ordered the “regular” size 7 1/2 and mine have loads of room in the toes. They will accommodate warm thick socks comfortably. Therefore the wide should fit you well

Answer:	Yes, these shoes have all around support - have 3 pairs & wear them yr round. I suffered w/plantar fascitis in both feet two different times & have had no flare-up since wearing these shoes! 5☆☆☆☆☆

Question:	How high is the ankle? And how stiff is the foot bed (shank); does the boot bend easily
Answer:	No, the strap is not adjustable.
Question:	Would these work for walking in the snow
Answer:	No this is a soft toe boot and super comfortable.
Question:	I am trying to find a hiking tennis shoe like boot. Something to give support but not to stiff. Would you say this boot would fit that description
Answer:	I also have wide feet, and if you're familiar with Keens shoes, they are all very good for wide feet. I went with 8.5, but should probably have gotten an 8. I always forget I don't need to size up for Keens
Question:	How would these be for wide width feet
Answer:	You could wear them in the summer. I wouldn’t wear them hiking. I live in Alaska and use foot stabilizing hiking boots. For me, my feet would move/rub walking on slanted trails. I wear them at “dressier” fall, winter, and spring times.

Question:	Would these work for snowshoeing
Answer:	Boot is not stiff but is very stabilizing. Does not bend easily in my estimation. Waterproof is excellent. I have many times operated on feet and these are good for me
Question:	What two color laces do these come with
Answer:	I am going to say no. 3-4 inches of snow but not a lot of snow. They are great shoes for cold weather, rain and a little snow
Question:	The heel looks like there are cleats, but no mention in the description. Are there, or not
Answer:	Comfortable support with this boot.
Question:	Does anyone with an extremely high arch have any hiking experience with this boot
Answer:	These are very narrow. If you have wide feet or bunions, I don't recommend them. They squeezed my foot and created pressure points.
