Question:	Are these good to use as regular shoes? I am not an athletic person
Answer:	Good question... Vibrams are not like any other shoe that you will wear. It will take some time for your foot to get used to them, so definitely don't plan on wearing them for a 12 hour day right out of the box. I've been wearing Vibram's for the past 10 years and I absolutely love them. Be aware that your feet will be using muscles in ways that they are not used to using them with other shoes. There is no arch support, so your foot will develop its own arch. Your balance will eventually shift forwards onto the balls of your feet and you will be surprised by the improved balance resulting from being able to use your toes. Your stride when walking will still be pretty normal (heel strikes first, then a roll through the rest of your foot), but when running the ball of your foot will strike first. Once you get used to them, you'll probably love them as much as I do. Good luck!

Answer:	Yes order at least on size up! Typically I wear size 46 I had to return them and get 4 which are a little tight but the hemp is very and not as hot as the normal material. You will love them!

Answer:	Hi James, unfortunately how long a pair of Fives will last is like asking "how long is a piece of string." It depends on the terrain. They'll last less on pavement, and more when on the grass. I can tell you that I used four pairs when walking the 3000km Te Araroa track of New Zealand. The terrain was mostly wilderness track, but there were large sections walking on roads and through residential areas, but overall that's 750km per pair over mixed terrain. As for what they can be used for, that's even more complex largely to do with the conjecture from major shoe manufacturers. They say not much, I say pretty much anything.I see Fives as primarily an extension of what I was born with, they simply allow me to go further over rough or hot terrain than I could barefooted. However, shoe manufacturers seem to want us to believe that evolution has given us nothing but lemons on the ends of our legs. As such, there are many claims that extending what evolution has already designed is dangerous, and we should in fact use their products which are totally different from what evolution ever intended. I'm not saying shoes aren't beneficial, or that Fives are perfect, but what I am saying is that you can use Fives virtually anywhere you can use shoes (safety boots and thermal comfort excluded). For me, I wear Fives running (not on pavement) walking, hiking (with a pack), cycling, yoga, climbing, kayaking, climbing, socialising, in the garden, out to the movies, you name it. Admittedly I'm as far from being a fashion victim as one can reasonably be, so what people think of my "monkey feet" when I'm at the movies or watching F1 is somewhat irrelevant.If you haven't guessed, I'm a big fan of Fives, but my main reason is because I like to travel light, very light. I'll go away for six months with just carry on luggage, so one pair of Fives on my feet don't take up any extra space, and I simply wash them just like my clothes. NoteIf you haven't worn them before, be patient with getting used to putting them on (the five toe shuffle), and be prepared to have sore legs for a few weeks if you wear them a lot initially. Because they're so thin, you get very sensitive feedback on your underfoot environment. This means your feet give extremely fast and accurate information back to your brain, and you will be shifting your weight (as you would naturally in bare feet) to keep your centre on balance - this uses different muscles differently, hence the possible sore legs. Additionally, your body knows how to protect itself if it gets the right information, so things like twisted ankles and jarred knees can't happen (in my opinion) so easily. This is why I could do a 3000km trek with a pack in Fives. i.e. No ankle support that the boot manufacturers would have you believe is a must.Anyway, it's all my opinion, based on experience, but with an admission of bias - I love 'em!

That being said, a 38 is the most comparable in my opinion. I tried a 39 and 37 also and the 38 were the most comfortable

Answer:	I've been wearing the El-X as my only shoe for 3 years now, that being said; I ALLWAYS wear socks with these now, they start to stink after only 1 or 2 days without them. I walk at least 10 miles EVERY single day in these, and they consistently last me about 3 months. If you walk less (most people average 1 mile or less a day) they will probably last longer

Answer:	Yes I wear 4EE and am a woman!!~~ they stretch to fit perfectly. I have been running since 2008 and wearing Fives since 2009 as well as just plain barefoot running mostly. Used to LOVE sprint style and have worn many others over the years. Found El-X in 2016 and am never changing to another style if I can help it. They are so light and like a sock with a rubber sole. So FLEXY!!~ I roll them up and tuck in pockets to run .. love them .
Question:	How would these fit on an extra wide foot
Answer:	You can run in these, but they are more intended for casual wear. I would highly recommend finding a pair of Bikilas, Lontras or the new V-Run (apparently the updated version of Bikilas) for running; they have softer and more absorbent insoles and thicker outsoles. The softer insole is also less prone to blisters, although this can be mitigated if you my socks for them, like Injinjis.Transitioning from a standard running shoe to Vibrams is a huge shift and needs to be approached with care. It's recommended that you cut back to about 30% for your normal distance in the beginning, and slowly and gradually build up. That's because you will be developing an entirely new muscle set in your legs. In my experience it shifts more load to below the knee, where most distance running favors the thighs. Without the crutch of thick foam rubber and gel soles to cushion your feet, you will need to train your legs to become your shock absorbers; you either develop a more "bouncing" gait where your calves and knees act like springs or you beat your feet, knees and hips to death on any run over 6 miles. I like running in them better, I feel lighter on my feet and have a better feel for the terrain. I would just caution anybody to ease into the transition. Runners have a tendency to dismiss the "start with 30% and work up slowly over time" rule and think "that only applies to ordinary people, not me." I did, and it applied to me after all. It applies to you, too. Once you make the transition though, I think you'll prefer the experience in Vibrams to standard, traditional running shoes.

Question:	I want to buy these, but I do not understand the sizing. Everywhere I look Vibrams are sized in European sizes (38, 39). I know what size I wear in EU
Answer:	Vibram Five Fingers website has a size and fit guide for their shoes in both US and Euro sizing. I wear woman's size 8 US .I wear 39 or 40 Euro depending on the style of the Five Fingers.
Question:	The sizes listed here are strange. Which corresponds to a size 39 in the Vibram sizing
Answer:	I wear a size 39 womens in most all Vibrams. I have not tried these but if I were to get them that is where I would start. I am a true size 7.5 with wide feet. I have a pair of KMD EVOs and they are a 38. All the styles are different and they should be a tiny bit snug at first..but your toes not touching the ends, so start somewhere and make sure you do 2 things. 1 measure your foot the way it says on the Vibram website and 2 make sure you buy where you can return for another size.
Question:	Are they waterproof
Answer:	Not waterproof per se, but I go in the water/get them wet all the time, and yes, my feet get wet. I also wash them (I don't put them in the dryer) when I get them grimy. They are holding up great. Overall very comfortable and a little more presentable in the office. I get positive comments on them all the time. Planning on investing in a couple of other colors. I have several other types of vibram shoes, love them all.
Question:	I wear a size 8.5 regular shoe. Should i get the 41 or
Answer:	Hello, I wear a 7 to 7.5 . I get either 38 or 39.. it depends on if I think I will wear socks or not.. that being said 42 will be way too big.. the CVT hemp canvas shoe that is showing.. I don’t wear socks with.. I love then.. very comfortable.. they do stretch a very little over time.. in my opinion is to get a 41 Hope this helps.. happy trails.. love five finger vibram!
