Micro$oft did away with Windows Media Center after Windows 7, so if you have Windows 7, you could play movies with WMC, but if you have Windows 8, or 10, you will need to install media player software. Am I doing something wrong? I have an all-in-one HP with Windows 10 and it usually plays DVDs flawlessly but the DVD 'door' came off and it no longer works so I purchased this...it does not work. The disc goes in, then it makes all these grinding sounds and then-nothing. It stops. Before I throw it in the trash-any suggestions?

No! No! No! - Do not let people give you improper advice. I have a brand new HP Envy 17T with Dimensions (W X D X H) = 16.38 x 11.14 x 0.92 in. The inside compartments are no where close to holding the laptop. I do not know why people are intentionally misleading folks trying to get accurate information. This is the 2nd bag that my daughter has purchased for me as a Christmas present (yes, this is February) and reviewers for both bags said they would fit a 17" laptop in the inner component, only to find this completely false. This is very discouraging.
