Answer:	They are not smooth on the bottom. Personally, I think they would be fine in shallow snow (not too high themselves.) I live in Florida now so haven't tested, but being from Green Bay, I would wear them in some snow. But, they are not lined either. I hope this helps.

Answer:	It's not real fur. Bough 2 pairs But they sent me wrong color on one I kept anyways . They are really cute, a lot of compliments and even more comfy then uggs!! But one of them split on Seam. You get what you pay for!!

Answer:	No, they are ABSOLUTELY NOT waterproof. I bought these as a Christmas gift for my wife because she thought they were waterproof (or at least water resistant). First time into the snow, approx. 3-4 inches deep, the water seeped all the way through into her socks. I dried them out, cleaned them (this material is harder to clean than I expected) and applied a waterproofing agent. Now the water rolls off.
