| Answer: | We ordered the 'large' one too, it is about 4 1/2 inches from the back of the 'rock' pile behind it to the front of the 'rock' pile in front, the base. There's also an air line and small hole on the side of the base for the air line, despite the large one not mentioning being an airbubbler, but we don't plan to connect it, just tuck the stub of air hose connection it came with under in the hollow base. I had trouble getting an accurate height, because the base and the edge of the ring kept me from getting a straight line against it, so I had to eyeball what measurement was level with the top, but it's about 8-9 inches tall (bottom of base to top of ring). The opening in the hole is about 5 inches, and it's about 7 1/2inches from side to side of the ring. So, in short Tall: 8-9 inches, Base depth (parallel with going 'through' the ring): 4 1/2 inches Width side to side on the circle is 7 1/2 inches Hole in circle: 5 inches (about) Have fun with yours! |

The shoe was beautiful....and so small I could barely get my foot into it, much less without compressing it incorrectly! I would suggest two things: 1) get your pointe instructor to help you with fitting (they should be familiar with the diff specific brands of pointe shoes and how they fit diff foot types; make sure to know your foot type as well, to avoid unnecessary issues with fit and form) 2) call Sansha directly I hope you find a good shoe for yourself.
