If you're looking to add a pretty (1/2 monocle; 1/2 pendant) necklace to your jewelry collection -- this is the piece for you. But if you're really after a dependable magnifying-glass-on-a-chain, I'd keep looking. The glass on this one is too small to be particularly useful and (I'm guessing) the magnification factor is only about (x3). On the other hand, I always get compliments when I wear mine. It's unusual enough to be a conversation-starter and does have a vintage look about it. I don't recall exactly what I paid for it, but remember feeling it was reasonably priced for what it was. Did I mention it's pretty? |
