Answer:	There are two side pockets without zippers they measure approximately 5 inches deep ok for glasses, pens, quick needed items but not heavy ones. All the inside pockets are made of the same lightweight material from the lining of the bag. The zipper also measuring 5 inches deep one will not fit my I-phone 8 with a heavy case in the compartment.
