For example, I use the tote for everyday and aside from the usual items (wallet, notebook, keys, personal items etc.) I also carry my laptop and external harddrive in it. Everything fits nicely and so far (4 months of everyday use) I have had no issues with the addition of heavy items. The straps do not show any signs of strain and the bag has held up quite nicely.

Answer:	I would say that it would be too small. I have an iPhone 6 and a card holder with 5 cards. That fits plus lipstick, small notepad, pen and lipstick. That is all I can fit. But you could order it and try if you wallet is small.

Answer:	The bag I received had silver hardware.

Answer:	Canvas. I have no concerns about it ripping.

Answer:	I think they would dye, but in my experience with dying canvas the colors will be more muted. i.e. I used bright pink dye on a different canvas bag and got a medium pink. I put vinyl on these and they took it well. They don't shrink and they are very sturdy.
Question:	How do you get rid of the funny smell
Answer:	It’s off white . Probably more like a very lite beige. I don’t think they stain easily. My son used them for his drawings and give them to his teachers as presents
