| Answer: | I don't know the weight but it would fall over if anyone hit it with power punches or kicks. I put about 240 lbs of sand in mine so it can take those punches and kicks. It is heavy but you can still move it by tipping it slightly and rolling it on its base. |

| Answer: | The leg structure is skinnier than the VS. 3 (the one with the legs but a simple cylinder top half). They seem strong enough for me, but I've only had mine for less than a year, and it's just been me, not an entire dojo's worth of students, so I can't speak to the longevity of the product. Our dojo has had a VS.3 for quite a few years now, and while it's "groin" joints broke internally, and the sandbag feet ruptured and needed repaired with a couple rolls worth of gorilla tape, it's still very functional, and I have no reason to expect different from the VS.BOB. Quirky difference between the VS.BOB and the VS.3 (and the VS.2): The VS.BOB's legs are connected by three sand-bag compartments (the sandbags are removable for filling and I guess repair, but the connecting "tubes" are sewn into the "feet"). This makes practicing leg sweeps disappointing, because you can't kick "through" the leg the way you can with the other legged models. You can do throws and such, including those that include a leg sweep, but if you're not also manipulating the torso, you're just kicking a padded leg-bag. Not a bad thing, just a different thing. I think they made the changes (thinner legs, connected by sandbags) because people wanted the BOB torso, but it looked stupid on top of the VS.3 legs which are the size of Strongman winners' legs, but the skinny legs were too flimsy without the support. Just the exchange you get for the human target torso. |
