Answer:	It is relatively flexible in that it doesn’t have a hard plastic insert. That said, my husband usually carried a 20 oz contiguous coffee mug, a half-gallon container of water, a sandwich in a hard box, a couple snacks, and a bottle of frozen water as an ice pack. It looks about the same full as it does empty. There is very dense foam in between the outer and liner layers that helps with insulation and helps the bag keep its shape.

The back pockets measure 4 and a half inches from top to bottom and there is a flap w/ button. They measure the same across. There are two small pockets with button flap in front: they both measure 3 and a quarter inches actually and 3 and a half inches from top to bottom. The two angle pockets on each side of the shorts are six inches across and 7 and a half top to bottom. The shorts have a 5 and a half inch inseam and the outside seam is 16 inches; they are a mid rise waist. Hope this helps!
