Answer:	I have long arms and the L/XL sleeves were long on me. About 5'8" and 170 lb. I would caution that unless you are more like and XXL or even an XXXL don't order the L/XL. I always wear an Xl and this robe was enormous on me and had to return. Shoulders about 6-8 inches off shoulder line which made the sleeves over long. The length on the robe, at least the L/XL, was longer than most robes which is nice for a tall woman. The thickness of the fabric was also heavier than typical. This is a heavy robe.

Answer:	It is made from Turakish cotton knit. It feels like long loops close together for a thick and high density terrycloth. I don't know if the fibers, the threads, or the looming process but the terrycloth ends up very plush and absorbent. After a bath/shower towel drying usually leaves skin a little damp. When robe us used, it absorbs that moisture but still feels dry.

I would think you should get a small/medium just to be sure it's roomy enough in those areas.
