Answer:	Yes, bell rings. However, bird destroyed it in about two weeks. First the bell was removed, then the plastic part that holds the chain was chewed off and there was no other way to fix it and hang it so I just got rid of it. Then I bought a larger better quality mirror and in about three or four weeks the same thing happened. I no longer buy any mirrors, you can buy this one, but hopefully your bird is not destructive like mine.
