Answer:	Hello. The removable shoulder strap is not designed to be worn around the waist. The bag is designed for the clips to clip onto your belt loops. It may be possible to wrap the strap around your waist, but that would depend on your waist size as to whether it would fit or not.

Answer:	I would take note of the bag’s dimensions and measure it up against the 10 year old’s leg thigh to hip measurement. Other than that I have no idea.

I confess I didn't read the whole article but I did stiffen a "tray" box and used the glue mix. Still use it. You'll have to figure out how to keep the sides straight while wet or do one side at a time letting it dry before doing another side. Use parchment paper to keep surfaces from sticking to another.
