Answer:	I was skeptical as well, but I bought them because they were my only option locally. I was happy to find that they work on any ice, period. I wear them ice fishing, which features a 1 mile walk pulling a 60 pound sled across various types of ice to get to a good spot. Keep in mind that these aren't glue, though. I can run on the ice with them, but it's still possible to slip - especially in ~3" of new snow on ice. The snow is just deep enough to fill the cleats, then you've got snow on ice.

Answer:	Yes, I recommend it for any age. Just make sure to REMOVE them when you go inside or on a clear surface, as they will be slippery on normal surfaces. ONLY for use in snow/ice.

Answer:	I wear a Women's size 8. The manufacturer sizing information on the box, says for U.S. Women's Size 8, get a SMALL YakTrax. I have KEEN winter boots,size 8 medium. Keen's winter boot have a substantial heavy sole. There is no way that I can stretch the YakTrax Size S onto the KEEN boots. A medium would fit (but I haven't tried yet). The YakTrax SMALL just barely fits over a pair of "fashionable" winter boots, size 8, that have a dainty-sized,or thin sole. I suggest that you take your boots into a store and fit the YakTrax on before purchasing. If the stretch is too tight, you'll know right away (it'll strip off your nail polish and split a nail or two attempting). Be careful during the stretch 'cause it's like a sling shot! It can take an eye out! :) You want a YakTrax size that's easy enough to take off when you go indoors because on stone floors, these are slippery and on carpet, they will rip up the carpet. The manufacturer sizing information is misleading.

Question:	what is the strap for
Answer:	Not 100% sure. I originally thought that they were for securing them to the shoe somehow. But if they are, I can't figure it out. How I personally use the strap is to attach the muddy spikes to my backpack while I am not using them on the hike. When I get home, I clean the spikes, dry them and then put them back in their carry bag. This may or may not be the strap's true purpose but it's working for me.

Answer:	My husband bought two pair, I use mine more and I think they are great. I had major back surgery in March and worry about falling. These cleats are fabulous and they are comfortable to wear, I thought I'd feel bumps etc but the walk is pretty smooth. I have not used in deep snow but feel they would be fine. Answer:	Hi Jennifer,Thank you for your question. It should be possible to drive while wearing the cleats over your shoes but we would strongly recommend against it. Having the cleats on would lessen the feeling and control that you have on the gas and break pedal. Also, since the cleats are not flat (they have the spikes), using them while driving could result in you slipping of the pedal and doing something you didn't want to do.Since they can be quickly pulled over your shoes/boots, we would recommend removing them before driving and then pulling them back on when you are ready to leave the car.I hope this helps. Question:	How stable are these, when going downhill
Answer:	We recently did an 8 mile round trip hike with an elevation gain of about 2000'. On the way back down I noticed that the chains had shifted a little but were still pretty much in place. This wasn't a super steep descent so it may not be the best test but it literally takes a few seconds to re-adjust these things. Walking uphill and downhill on ice is very easy and you don't even notice that you have them on. I hope that helps.

Answer:	My husband wears size 10 and the LARGE fits perfectly on his SEARS DIEHARD BOOTS; and his TACTICAL BOOTS WITH STEEL TOE & RUBBER SOULS. Google them to get an idea of the boot shape and size might help you get an idea to compare with the boots or shoes you're planning on wearing. These ice cleats may look small but they stretch easy enough onto my boots with a snug and secure fit, and are easy to put on and off again.
Question:	How do I put these straps on? I cannot figure it out
Answer:	I had the same dilemma. You can see in the picture at what point the band attaches.( I will refer to the Velcro piece as the band and the spike piece as the strap.) Taking the Velcro band, place it under the spike strap then thread the Velcro band into its metal loop. At this point the band will be attached to one side of the strap. Thread the end of band around the other side of the strap closing the Velcro over on its self. Good luck.

Answer:	I had a hard time telling left from right, and then I figured out that since they are completely rubbery, you can put them on either foot. I needed to use them, so I did it this way, and found that I don't really need to pay attention to which one might be left or right - they work for both.

Answer:	The sizing chart indicates a small and medium should fit a women's size 7. If you plan on using these on boots, I would go with the medium and if they will be used on thinner shoes, the small should work.
