Answer:	Mine hasn't arrived yet but the answer is almost certainly 316L. Rolex's last claim to fame is that they use 904L, which resists scratching and acids better, but 316L is almost universal in watch making because it is not too expensive but hard enough to machine a watch case from. Cheaper stainless like 18-8 just won't make a machined watch case, it's too soft (and "gummy" from a metal working perspective).

Answer:	I have had several of these watches. One got some condensation inside after a year of constant wear. The other two have not. I get them wet all of the time and only had a problem with the one, and even that one I got a years worth of wear out of it. The watch and band are just the right size and very light. 10 yr battery a huge plus. The biggest problem is the face is very soft and gets scratched easily. But still, I love these watches. The hands glow in the dark too, great at the movies or when moving from light to dark.
