A vast multitude of people both in Russia and abroad boasting "Vostok" watches and various international prizes awarded for high quality and commercial success testify to this. Answer: | This is an automatic, self winding watch. Therefore no batteries are required. The watch is wound by the movement of thawrist and arm or can be wound manually with watch stem. |
Question: | Do I have to send the watch back to Ansurio, or any watch repair can change batteries |
Answer: | The glow in the dark feature just covers a dot for every other hour and the three hands. Not the numerals. It’s a unique and awesome watch. It keeps good time and has a unique 24 hour dial. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can you get this watch with an extended band for a larger wrist |
Answer: | I have an 8 inch wrist, and this watch, just like every other Invicta watch I own, has a band that is more than big enough. |
Question: | Where can I get a replacement band for this watch |
Answer: | They sell genuine Invicta straps for the Russian Divers right here on Amazon. Just “Search” at top of page for Russian Diver replacement straps and they’ll have several choices. * But you MUST save the old strap because the replacement straps do not come with the barrel inserts on the strap. It’s very easy to remove them from your old strap with a small screwdriver and put them on the new strap, i’ve done myself and it was very easy to do. And also they are not expensive at all. |
Question: | Does this watch have a backlight when you go to the Invicta website and you look up this model number it says that it has a backlight |
Answer: | I don’t believe it does. I haven’t come across it on mine. |
Question: | can that giant cap and chain be removed? what's under it |
Answer: | You could remove it if you cut it off. But it is part of the watch. Under the cap is the pin to wind the watch up because it does not use a battery. It is what makes the watch special. I own over 75 watches and this is one of my favorite watches. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does the back of the watch have window |
Answer: | No back window. |
Question: | Does it have a second time zone GMT |
Answer: | No, none of the Amphibia Classic or Komandirskie Classic styles have a movement with a GMT hand or gearing. There are some dual times that are married to the hour hand that would point to the outer bezel to give you a 24 hour current reference that could be spun around. Also, you could replace the bezel and go a GMT style insert where you could spin your city/zone to the current hour and get a reading for the rest of the world.. but nothing with a moveable GMT hand. |
Question: | What is the case size in mm |
Answer: | diameter is 42mm, thickness is 15 mm |
Question: | Is the bezel insert aluminum |
Answer: | Bezel made from stainless steel |

Question: | what is the luminous compound made of |
Answer: | I don’t know . My is fine. You can find a band from other manufacturer which will fit the watch size. In general the silicon bands are used to be broken frequently. Search local store instead of online for the best match. |
Question: | Is this new old stock or new recreation |
Answer: | Sorry roywhiteman no idea. Mine broke and replaced it with a http://www.amazon.com/Nylon-Striped-Interchangeable-Replacement-Watch/dp/B005BKNGCI/ref=sr_1_24?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1418147531&sr=1-24&keywords=watch+band Nylon one. Hope this helps |
Question: | Is the case, bezel and crown stainless steel |
Answer: | usually any watches 50 mm or larger will have a large band... i usually purchase invicta watches because i too have a big wrist. |
Question: | Does any one know how to set and wind this watch |
Answer: | Yeah, I think it's a verry unlucky watch. The first watch I received had a loose crown and it totally came out. So I returned it and they sent me a replacement. It only worked for few days and stopped. So I guess, you're right, it very well may come with a bad battery or bad anything. My advice: stay away from it. Good luck. |
