Answer:	You should determine the rod length based on the width of the window, rather than the curtains. A good rule of thumb is to make sure the rod (pole, not including finials) is at least capable of extending 2 inches wider than the outside of the window frame on both sides. I usually mount mine 4 inches outside the frame because it gives better light coverage at night. I find that these curtains drape most attractively with windows 35-45 inches wide, but one set also works sufficiently for a 50 inch wide window in my house. Answer:	I didn't get the pink. I got the pale green ones. I only put one panel on each window. They are both normal sized windows but are recessed in the wall. They do a very good job of blocking the sun. It also helped to keep the heat out during the summer. We shall see in the winter if it is helpful.

Answer:	I have successfully cut out round "portholes" (using a plate as a guide), made designs and trimmed off edges. A sharp #11 exacto knife it is best for rounded cuts. Cut after the film is adhered to the window. Use a larger size film than the window, apply it well, pushing in the corners before cutting. Make sure the blade is sharp with point intact and cut at an angle into the frame. It is better to take off too little than too much, you can always do another cut (or you end up with space between window and frame). Good luck!
