There is an indicator in the wheel readout to the left of the time display that will have pm dark in the circle when you are in the pm cycle. The flashing of the display is decorative. | Answer: | I would say a brighter grey, but not too light. I have several Suunto watches and an Timex Iron Man and the display is a bit brighter. The watch is very easy to read when light is turned on. |

| Answer: | I have to say the last time I had to break out the tape to measure something on my person it wasn't my wrist. That said .. mine is about 7.25. I put the watch on a coke can to see if it would fit and it did on the very last set of holes and that is right at 91/8 which would give you about 3/4 of an inch left to stow. |
