Answer:	The lug width is 18mm -- if you get a two-piece nylon watch strap e.g. not a NATO strap it will last longer than the stock rubber strap.
Question:	how far in depth is the water resist
Answer:	I think a previous commenter may be on to something. I've worn this model for decades, and generally each watch has lasted at least half a dozen years. I've worn them swimming in the pool and in the ocean, and diving down to 20 m. Once or twice before, a watch I'd had for many years got some water inside after a prolonged period in the water. My latest F91-W got water inside and portions of the display failed the first time I had it submerged (an hour and a half in a hot tub, underwater more about half the time). So maybe Casio changed something about the materials or manufacturing process that makes it more susceptible to water. Still, I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem for exposure like kayaking, pouring rain, taking a swim, etc. In any case it's an incredible watch -- super light, very long battery life, useful functions, unobtrusive and unpretentious -- and a new one is just a day or two and a dozen dollars away if you choose to use it in submersion settings and it fails. (I wouldn't press the buttons while it's submerged, though: that's asking for trouble.)

Answer:	Even the counterfeit versions of this are almost $10. Department stores sell Crappy Chinese quartz watches made of pot metal, with designers logos on them, for $200+. Go complain there instead.

Answer:	I bought the GWM5610-1 for my dad and he loves it. Can't beat it for the money. As far as the difference between the GwM5610-1ER, I'm not sure. They both say 20bar water resistant. Good question.
Question:	Does the automic timing keeping able to work in Singapore or Malaysia
Answer:	The Casio answer is actually incorrect. The time signal is low frequency and can travel a very long distance, especially at night (when the watch is programmed to sync). For example, I live in the East Coast of the US, about 2400 km from the US station in CO, and my devices can pick up the signal at night.
Question:	Full auto el backlight with afterglow does not work
Answer:	You can test the auto EL light regardless of the room lighting. Press the 2 left buttons and the top right button at the same time. You will see "Tilt" on the display. Now just tip the watch and it will display 8888 on the screen if the tilt worked. I had to return my first one, the second one is perfect. I didn't think I would really even use the Auto EL but I like using it.
