Answer:	Yes, your smartwatch will track activity when not connected to your phone. To best view all your previous activity information on the Fossil Smartwatches app, we would recommend to regularly sync your smartwatch and phone.

Answer:	The background image can be customized through the Fossil Hybrid Smartwatches App. Tap the Customization section, then tap the paint palette in the bottom right corner of the watch face illustration. The charging head attaches to the back of the watch with a magnet and applies power using pogo pins that contact the metallic circles on the back of the watch. I suspect the only watches you'll find on the market that will powershare with the Galaxy will be those by Samsung. Hope this isn't a deal breaker - this is an excellent Wear OS watch!
