The Targhee II has larger more multi-directional lugs while the III has smaller, more directed lugs to help push forward. We also made the Targhee III less bulky and reduced the volume of the toe box slightly and because of that, some fans have found it to fit a little more snug than the Targhee II. That said, it does still have the original KEEN fit and will fit wider feet comfortably if needed.
