Answer:	I just went and ran them under the sink sideways for a solid minute and they didn't even get damp inside. However the tongue is not stitched to the side and separates just under the first eyelet, so if you are walking through big puddles the water will wash over the toe and seep in there a bit. They should keep you plenty dry for a long while from just falling rain though. Great shoes imo.

Both soles cracked completely through at the balls of my feet. This was after about 6 months of usage - it's not like I stress the shoes in anyway - I just walk around on concrete. I submitted a warranty claim to Timberland (all the paperwork and photos required - it was like a timewarp back to the 1980s - fill out this form, answer these questions, provide photographic proof, and submit a receipt :)) and they rejected it because my Amazon purchase was through an "unauthorized seller." Answer:	The soles are glued and stitched in. You can also can easily take the cushion out and add another in it. It's a nicely crafted shoe that is water resistant and comfortable. I wore them in the snow and they kept my feet dry and warm. They also have good tread to prevent a lot of slidding.
Question:	What is the actual weight of these shoes
Answer:	Weight is subjective...depends on size. I wear size 14 and I'm sure they weight twice as much as a small mans size. I shopped in a store before buying and compared these to a number of other brands and they are among the lighter weight boots among of the better brands. I found some inexpensive brands that were much lighter but not very good quality. They are not so heavy as to feel weighted. They are not as stiff as I anticipated them to be either.

Answer:	Legs are not adjustable. Just look for a reasonably flat section of ground when you pitch your tent and you'll be fine. My husband and I slept on these in just sleeping bags and were fine. Haven't tried any foam mattress on top of it-- not necessary for comfort, they're good on their own, but a piece of foam would probably make the cots quieter to sleep on. Every time you shift around in your sleep the cot fabric kinda squeaks.

But if sizing is important to you and you like a snugger fit on your foot, id reccomend going a half size down seriously. My foot is 11 inches long which means according to the usa size chart i should be wearing 11s but the shoe was a little too long. I think its because its meant to be a dressier shoe and dress shoes tend to be on the longer size. But whatever your size is id reccomend you go a half size down and see how you like that.

Answer:	I did not keep them because I have worn Timberland boots for 20+ years and these were the most uncomfortable work shoes. I liked the look (style) so much that I disregarded other reviews about cutting into your ankle. I thought they might fit me differently but I was wrong and other reviews were right. I went with a pair of Keens and I call them my work slippers as they are the most comfortable boots I have owned for 12hrs per day on my feet. I would not recommend these shoes for anything other than style.

Answer:	Well look they are waterproof but there's a limit to that i cut alot of grass on my job and it's gets real wet and i to am in wet ditches with alot of water sometimes or muddy pits like you so what i did is get a can of Boot protector and spray at least 8coats on before you start to wear them there is also a new product called WetDry haven't tried it yet but i will they say it really works great, but to answer your question yes with in reason, hope this helps.
