Answer:	If you are looking for a hiking boot that provides a lot of ventilation then I would recommend the Men's MOAB 2 Ventilator. I decided that waterproof was more important and the MOAB 2 Waterproof promotes MSELECT DRY, which keeps the water out and lets moisture escape. From my personal experience the shoes are very comfortable and are waterproof, but you can expect that your feet will sweat; however it is not any more than when I am wearing canvas tennis shoes in summer. Overall I am really pleased with the MOAB 2 Waterproof.

Answer:	I live down South so I haven't had the opportunity to see any snow as of yet. However, I would say yes. I waterproofed mine after I got them. They are warm and comfortable and the sole on the shoe is definitely sturdy and has good traction.
