There's no way that I could tell the difference by looking at a refurbished one and one that comes from the Apple store. Answer:	I live in the U.P. of Michigan, and I would say this jacket is suitable for cold fall days and maybe some snowfall, but not for the thick of winter. Also I would recommended getting a size larger than normal so as to be able to fit a sweater underneath. The jacket is very form fitting and doesn't give very much.
