Just put the strap on the top of the top of the shoe don't have to bother taking the strap off just try that instead I forgot I did that with my very first pair and after wearing them like that for awhile realized I could take the straps right off the shoe and have ever since. I love my crocs (bad back problems) helps a lot. I wear mine constantly and have found that for me the inside sole does wear down after time you'll notice how much when you get a new pair. I have no idea if Merrell advertises these shoes as being waterproof but here’s my real life experience after owning them for about 5 months. I returned today from two days at the Masters Golf Tournament, practice rounds where it poured rain on and off for the better part of those two days. I wore these shoes and hoped they would just slightly repel water because I really had no other shoe options for this event and the expected rainy conditions. While there I walked through puddles of water inches deep, through mud inches deep, grass soaked with both water and mud. Honestly, I could go on about the inclement conditions. At times it was nightmarish but in two days not a drop of water ever penetrated the interior of these shoes; it was amazing. My feet were completely dry each evening when we returned to our place. This afternoon, at home, I brushed the dried mud from the shoes the best I could then brushed them again with a dry paper towel. They're not clean but they look pretty darn respectable. Tomorrow I'll try to clean them with soap and water per Merrell website instructions to see what that does. Bottom-line no water inside either shoe after two days of soaking rain. PS - no blisters or sore feet either. |
