Answer:	Ahem ;- ... these slippers come 11 inches up my calf. At that point, my calf measures 14" around and they are very comfortable but I wouldn't push them much past 15 inches. Answer:	mine are 9-10 and I don't think that they come in half sizes so I would say order a 11-12 to be on the safe side. You can always return them if it doesn't work out.

Answer:	I chose the 8-9 option for sizing, based on reviews. I’m 91/2 sometimes 10 . They fit perfectly . I stayed away from the small medium large sizing option

Answer:	On the pair that I have the "micro" fleece lines only the foot part, comes up slightly above ankle area. The extension beyond the ankle to around the half calf area is heavy duty knitted material. I wear them quit a bit and they seem to be holding up. At times I wear them over sweat or regular socks. Not necessary to do so, but that's me.

Answer:	I wear and 8. I ordered the 8/9. I think it is big. I wish I would have ordered the 6/7. I think....that might have been too small. but the 8/9 is big. I ordered my friend the 8 and she is sending it back. She thinks it is way too big. she wears and 8 as well. I'm just wearing big socks with them.

Answer:	I have both light wood and light tile floors and the rubber soles do leave black marks either one of them.

Answer:	No the insole does not come out. Mine is not the shoe pictured here but a shoe with adjustable straps across top. Mine may allow for adjusting height for orthotic but has only a 1/2 inch heel in height so orthotic might not stay in place.

Answer:	The Acorn company is based in Maine so I believe it is safe to say they are made in the US. I can not verify as mine were returned because of size.

Answer:	No, the insoles aren't removable. However, they are so soft & padded that I don't think you'll need them. I wear them all day when I'm in the house and my feet feel super comfortable.

Answer:	best guess would be medium. i wear 7-1/2's in fitted shoes and these smalls are about right for me......so mebbe tight for you.

Answer:	These are made with Berber fleece, and the Polar Mocs are made with microfleece.

Answer:	Yes but air dry them , don't use dryer, and wash them with full load. They also can be wiped clean with wet cloth which is better most of the time unless they get really dirty.
Question:	If you wear a 11.5 should your order up a size
Answer:	That's a good question. I wear a size 11 but occasionally have bought an 11.5. Sitting here with them on my toes are at the end so if you can I would buy both pair and send one back.

Answer:	Correct, all the "fleece" on these is a synthetic fleece. The upper edging around the sole is genuine leather/suede, but there is no wool "fleece" lining.

Answer:	Yes. I have the ivory synthetic fleece version, and I've dropped mine in a full load with other items several times, and dried them in the dryer along with everything else. I'm on my second pair, and they last a long time. I'll buy the exact pair again for a third time when these start to go.

Answer:	My shoe size is also 9 (maybe 9.5) and I ordered the 8-9, which was too short. Will be returning. Hope the 9.5-10.5 aren't too big! Well, the 9.5-10.5 are too big! I got them for $30 so I'll keep them and use an insert. Really disappointing the sizing doesn't work for size 9 womens.

Question:	How much do these weigh? I am looking for lightweight socks to sleep in for backpacking
Answer:	Hmmmm....I would not consider these lightweight. They are kind of thick and like fleece but I bet they would be nice for backpacking. They are wonderful for cooler temps if that is what you are looking for. I like the way they are shaped by the stitching into a boot type of shape. Keep in mind that they are on the large size. I bought the small and they am a womans size 8 1/2 and they are very roomy which is better than being too small. Hope this helps.

Answer:	I wear a size 10B woman's show, and have found that the large is a little snug for my wide calves, but they fit. My mom wears a size 9 1/2 B shoe with wide calves, and she finds the size large a perfect fit. So I would guess a medium would fit a size 7.5/8 would fit just fine.

Answer:	they are very loose and do not support - which is what I needed. I do not recommend. As for washable, not sure. They wore out before needing a wash that's how cheap they are.

Answer:	If you can return, please do. Mine stretched in the width so much, they are impossible to walk in unless I shuffle. My feet come out of them if I walk. Mine did not stretch in the length, only in the width. I should have returned them.
Question:	sizing for a 9.5-10 shoe should i get large or XL
Answer:	I think you should stay with 9.5 because they will stretch enough! Hope this helps.
