Product features

As reliable today as when your grandad first bought a pair.

In 1957 we introduced the Grange. A non-insulated, do-it-all rubber boot that our customers knew they could always trust. Six years later, an insulated version of the Grange came to be — the Burly. Today, these boots are alive and well. They’re still made from the same proven rubber formulas. They’re still built to perform under the harshest of conditions. And they’re still the boots you can call on to get the job done.

More traction. Less mud.

It’s called the Chevron Cleated Outsole. It gives the Grange and Burly unparalleled traction in the thickest of mud and the nastiest of terrain. Unlike most other boots that feature a glued-on outsole, the Chevron Cleated Outsole is fully vulcanized onto the boot for extra durability and to ensure it won’t ever separate. And with its unique lug design constantly shedding the mud, traction is never jeopardized. Neve

Welcome to the top of the rubber food chain.

Keep a good thing going. When it comes to the Grange and Burly, that’s been our rally cry. And it all starts by building them with more natural rubber than most other boots. Rubber that remains durable and waterproof year after year. Rubber that won’t crack from the extreme heat or harden from bitter cold. Rubber that’s resistant to tears, abrasions and a hard day’s work. With rubber like that, it’s no wonder they never change.

Give cold the boot.

Chances are, you’ll find yourself in conditions colder than cold. That’s why the Burly is all about keeping your feet warm. With a layer of insulating foam that extends from the bottom of the boot to the ankle — along with a wool-felt midsole for extra warmth underfoot — you’ll always stand your ground when faced with the harshest of elements.

Give your feet a bear hug.

The Grange and Burly feature our revolutionary Ankle Fit technology. Not only does it ensure a secure and comfortable fit around your ankles, it also grips the top of your foot and locks your heel in place. This prevents the boot from pulling loose in the deepest trenches of mud and muck. And staying true to our “by-hand” process, the hand-laid rubber of the Grange and Burly ensures that they fit the way we built them to fit — comfortably and securely.

BORN WITHOUT BOUNDARIES.

From the woods and the marsh to the homestead and the job site, there are no boundaries to how far Lacrosse boots can go. Or how hard they can work. There are no boundaries for their durability and toughness. No boundaries to their performance and perseverance. So no matter the terrain at foot or the task at hand, Lacrosse boots are born for it.

User questions & answers

Question: What grain are these? Most are at least 1200, but can't find what these are
Answer: They are not rated in "grains". I'm not 100% on how Lacrosse does their temperature rating with different styles of boots but they say this boot has a comfort range from 60 to -20.
Question: I get charley horses in my calf when I try to remove hunting boots so I usually buy side zip boots. How are these getting on & off
Answer: what I like about these boots are the tight ankle support. They hug nicely to keep you from getting blisters. I live in Southeast Alaska where it is always wet so I put in lots of miles wearing rubber boots. I suggest you either get a good boot puller where you can get these off easily or buy something more loose fitting. Good luck
Question: Are these boots suitable for cold weather
Answer: Yes, depending on how cold it is and how active you will be. I have worn these boots in very cold weather to shovel snow and cut firewood without my feet getting cold. The materials these boots are made of have a degree of natural insulating qualities but I would not recommend wearing them to sit in a treestand in subfreezing weather.
Question: Are these snake boots too
Answer: No, just standard rubber boots. Although they could PROBABLY stop a bite, I wouldn't bet my life on it. Spend the extra on dedicated snake boots, they're a less than a trip to the hospital for antivenin (nearly $100k for the stay), loss of limb, or life.

User questions & answers

Question: I usually wear 9.5D leather boots. With this pair of rain boots I find the size is different, could you tell me which size fits my feet
Answer: I see someone had a problem. Mine are still waterproof. I take an 8 1/2 but got 10's. Roomy, but great for extra socks. I would order an 11 to be on the safe side. Put an $8 pair of Dr. Scholl's cushioned insoles in and you should be fine.I have the premium knee boot as well. Both are great products in my experience.
Question: Even though I only have a removable sole, are these supposed to be warm/insulated? We have used the green boots in the past and they are freezing cold
Answer: These are not insulated. I would suggest getting the insulated ZXT boots. Pile boot socks are also a good addition but the boots should be at least one size larger. I two size larger boots with pile socks.
Question: Are these measured at the 16in from bottom of the foot to top of boot
Answer: Measured from the floor to the top of the boot they are 17 3/4" tall.
Question: I wear a 4e width shoe and all rubber boots come in a d width. some are roomier than others and i can wear them. is the footbed roomy
Answer: Yes they are "roomy", I ended up putting 1/4" felt insoles in my pair. I wear D width boots and the insoles made them fit me much better. I hope this helps.

User questions & answers

Question: Are these boots lined? If they are, what is the lining
Answer: In my opinion they do have a fabric like lining to them. They are very comfortable and have a removable footed for easy drying. I use them here in Minnesota for deer hunting up until about December 1st. I will also slip them on to jump outside to shovel snow and start our vehicles in the morning without even putting socks on. I would purchase them again and my size ran true.
Question: Are these 100% metal free
Answer: yes
Question: how do these run size wise
Answer: I normally wear an 11 in all rubber boots; 12 in regular shoes but these seemed pretty big and not as tight around the ankle as they should be. I originally bought an 11 but had to get a size 10 and they fit pretty good. Would've liked to have 1/2 sizes but they will work. I wear them in rivers fishing and need a snug fit around my ankle and feet.
Question: Where are these boots made
Answer: The tag in my boots says (surprise!) "Made in China"
Question: I wear a size 9.5 shoe, what size should I get
Answer: I tend to wear 10.5- 11 and ordered size 11. The 11s fit nice when i wear thicker socks. They ran a little big wearing standard socks
Question: Are they 16 inches high
Answer: Yes
Question: I wear a women's size 8. What size would i need in these men's boots? Thanks
Answer: Take 1 size bigger than your feet but note it will give hell to come off cause it is very tight around the ankles going in and out this is an issue that needs to be resolve by the manufacturer
Question: How are they in very cold weather
Answer: They are not insulated, but I dont think you will need insulated snake boots, since most snakes hibernate in cold weather.

Product features

They have the one feature you need most in a hunting boot: Quality.

Everything you need and nothing you don’t. That’s what our 4XAlpha hunting boot is all about — the essentials and only the essentials. Every bit as comfortable as it is durable, we built the 4XAlpha for serious hunters who don’t want to drop serious cash when it comes to a premium hunting boot.

Not all rubber is created equally.

Built with hand-laid premium, natural rubber over insulating neoprene, the 4XAlpha is more durable, more flexible and more comfortable than their full rubber counterparts. Lightweight and always long-wearing, it won’t crack in the cold, won’t get soft in the heat and won’t ever let you down when you need it most.

To tread and protect.

The 4XAlpha keeps your feet safe and sound with multi-layers of rubber. First, there are two layers in the toe guard and instep for extra durability in these high-flex and stress areas. Next, three layers in the heel add even more durability for when it’s time to kick off the boots. And to ensure you always tread confidently through the brush, the 4XAlpha features a full shin guard for added protection.

The best fitting boots for your feet are still made by our hands.

Handmade for over 100 years, the 4XAlpha fits the way a boot should fit — comfortably. A durable, full rubber gusset on the back accommodates different calf sizes and makes it easy to slide the boot on and off. To keep the boot from coming loose in thick mud and muck, the 4XAlpha’s contoured and secured fit grips the ankle and locks the heel place. This means no more chaffing and rubbing because your foot no longer slides around in the boot.

Four-wheel drive in boot form.

The 4XAlpha lets you go where you wouldn’t go before. Its fully vulcanized 4XBurly outsole is not only built to tread the most challenging terrain, but it features high-grade premium rubber that won’t get soft and sticky in the heat or rock hard in the cold. Angled lugs keep you light on your feet by shedding the mud and muck while a 90-degree heel and integrated shank makes the climb to your tree-stand fast and easy. Much like you, they’re built to hunt.

Expand your comfort zone.

The 4XAlpha is built to hunt longer and go farther. And it all starts with Quad Core technology — four layers of cushioning built for all-day comfort. First, a thick layer of polyurethane is insulated underfoot and won’t compress over time. Under that is a layer of neoprene for added cushion and even more insulation. Next up is a layer of blown rubber for added stability and support. And finally, an extra thick layer of EVA foam in the heel absorbs impact. Absolute comfort. Any questions?

LaCrosse Men's Alpha Lite

We’ve made this pull-on your new go-to. From daily chores to walking the dog, the Alpha Lite easily pulls on to get you out and on your way faster. With our premium, natural rubber over cushioning neoprene, you can trust that your feet will stay dry and comfortable for any task the day may bring.

Dry and comfortable, no matter the season.

Our premium rubber is hand-laid around a neoprene core, and we use multiple layers of rubber in key areas for added support and durability. Both the neoprene and the rubber are naturally waterproof and when bonded together, they form an unbeatable waterproof barrier. The neoprene also provides some insulation, but is flexible enough to roll down when temperatures rises.

Easy on. Easy off. Comfortable in-between.

The Alpha Lite features our Active Fit design with a neoprene core that adds flexibility, allowing you to slide the boot on and off more easily. Once on, the precise fit keeps feet secure while on the move and prevents the boot from pulling loose in deep mud.

Reliable traction that covers it all.

Our vulcanized construction ensures 100% waterproof protection at the most critical seam of the boot - where the outsole meets the upper. Using a special lug pattern that has more surface area for better grip, the Alpha Lite provides traction from the out-building floor to the mud-covered field.

Question: Would these be good for cold weather and shoveling snow
Answer: I wear these boots year round mainly for muddy conditions here in TN. In winter I wear them to wade in lake water that is just above freezing. With thick wool socks my feet remain warm. Question: Are these any better than the regular lacrosse grange boot? i can only get 8 months out of those
Answer: No, not really. If you wear them a lot they will crack and stuff too. They are exactly the same just different color.
Question: with insole do i need to go up a size
Answer: Yes, The ankle fit is tight. I normally wear a 9.0-9.5. I always buy a 10 in this boot.
Question: Hot weather boot
Answer: Yes, it would be great for any weather.
