So I pulled out the Operating Instructions and reviewed them, and I think the answer to your question is no. It took me some time to interpret the wording, because of course they don't write English very well in Japan. ;) There are Connection Example 1 through Connection Example 4, and Connection Example 4 is titled "Connecting to a TV with component video input." It says, "You can enjoy better picture quality by using a TV that has component video inputs. (You may not be able to connect color difference inputs (Y, P(B), P(R)) on high definition TVs.)" It's amazing that this was written in the 1990s, because this has turned out to be largely true; most TVs now have almost all HDMI inputs, and if you're lucky, maybe one set of connectors for component input.Anyway, continuing... the bullet points underneath say:*) A TV that has component input jacks can be used for video input. This will provide higher picture quality during playback.*) The names of the component input jacks differ among different TVs.*) LD video will be output in black and white from the COMPONENT VIDEO OUT jacks. Be sure to also connect the video output jack using the supplied video cord.*) boldSet "COMPONENT" as the player's video output mode via the menu screen. (See page 35.)/bold*) bold When the player is set to output the component video signals, black and white pictures will be output from the video output jacks and S-video output jack of this player./bold*) If the picture's colors change or become faded, make adjustments via the TV's controls.My interpretation: My initial reaction was "WTF? Isn't this an LD player? Why would they output black and white from the component video and S-video jacks? How is that better picture quality?!" Then, I suddenly remembered: This player included the (at that time) state-of-the-art DVD technology. (Oooooooh. Coooooooool.) So, the component video applies specifically to the DVD, and will temporarily turn your LD player into a pumpkin while you watch DVDs. Then, when you're finished watching DVDs, all you have to do is SIMPLY pull out your player, and/or climb behind your AV components (watch out for dust bunnies!), unplug 6 cables and reinsert your Standard or S-Video cable, and that's it! You're all set to watch LD!But it's SO worth it! I personally love the retro-ness of having to flip the LD disc over in the middle of the movie. (Do Blueray manufacturers have a built-in bathroom/snack break? I don't THINK so...) Those great big 12" ... irridescent discs are like art in a way. And just having a still-functional LD player always makes people tear up and go, "Wow! Really? That's SO COOL!" There's nothing like watching Star Wars in the original LD format. The first sci-fi movie not to use papier mâche models.But why oh why couldn't they simply say the following in the Operating Instructions:"Connection Example 4: Using Component Video for DVD Playback ONLY. Use Component Video to take advantage of the DVD's higher-resolution video. If I where you I would just go with sundown or skar audio these subs aren’t even worth any money when u could spend 150 bucks on an 8 inch that would hit harder then 2 12” rockvilles. |

I would suppose this speaker is able to handle 60 watts RMS continuous with occasional short duration 100 watt RMS spikes. Just my opinion though. By the way, they don't sound bad. The highs are good. The bigger the cabinet, the better the bottom end will sound. |

| Answer: | For the 5.25-inch version it's 4.88 inches (a little more than 4 3/4). Not sure why the questions for the 6.5-inch version are showing up here. Get it together, Amazon. |

| Answer: | Sorry, I'm unsure. I had some Jensen 5.25" in my boat and replaced them with the Pyle. I had to use my Dremmel Tool to sand out the opening about 1/16" all the way around for the Pyle speakers to set flush. The screw holes matched up perfectly. |

| Answer: | Have not seen it in a bandpass box! But I built a slot ported box off of RAM designs. In a chevy Equinox doing a 136.5 db with two of the older 8's that are 500 watts rms. The newer ones are rated for more power. Running also a Masive N3 amplifier 1400 watts RMS. Mono amp. Great match. Good luck. |

| Answer: | These are fantastic powerful speakers that produce clean sound . I have coupled them up to the Pyle 100x100 watt RMS amp , using the mp3 jack, it is my only stereo on board my yacht ,running radio and music files from my phone. Very good sound system. |
