Answer:	My size 11 Arctic Ice Mid Work boots are 32.4 oz each. I highly recommend the Muck brand for wet, muddy conditions. I own a pair of Muck Chore series. I picked up the Arctic Ice boots for frigid weather. Perhaps others have had better experience but I was disappointed with respect to temperature range. Temps were in the mid 20's I was wearing moisture wicking winter socks (not cotton). Within an hour my feet were uncomfortably cold. I picked up a pair of Sorel Caribou boots. (same temp specs as Arctic Ice). Temps were in the single digits. Wearing the same base layer as before, I was working outside for a couple of hours and my feet were nice and toasty warm. More expensive but more comfortable.

Question:	will these boots keep feet warm in minus 30 dregree weather in Alaska.boots says good down to 148 minus i think so.....so any good for extreme cold
Answer:	Our weather does not get that cold here BUT my feet have been frost bitten too many times to remember. I have yet to find any boot to keep my feet from feeling the cold or getting icy cold (even boots rated to - 45F or colder. I have paid upwards of 300 for boots as well with no success for keeping my feet warm)until I found these boots. Even at -25C/-13F my feet are toasty warm. They are very tight to put on for the first few times until your feet mold to them. That left me concerned. I can not wear tight anything. After 3 winters I can say I love these boots. When I need to replace them I will be buying them again.

Answer:	I wear two pairs of wool socks with them and they are wide enough to allow for them. Other than the fact that I normally wear two pairs with snow boots I find they fit snug. Answer:	Thank you for your interest in Rocky Boots. We don’t have a rating system in degrees. Thinsulate works based off movement and the more you move the longer you stay warm. Without moving you will start to feel the cold about 30 minutes to 45 minutes. Insulation only works based on your own body heat.
