But for a grown man that won’t grow out of them, you may want to look into some inserts for your shoes. In some cases it might not be the shoes you’re buying but lack of proper support in your problem areas. My chiropractor set me up with inserts made for supporting my feet in the areas I need. Answer:	The inside circumference of the top band is just 6 inches when unstretched (that's for the size 12-15). My calf is 15.5 inches. If I pull these socks all the way up, I might as well apply a tourniquet. I wear them below the calf where they must stretch to only 12 inches and they still leave a deep mark. If your calf is any larger than 12 inches, I'd guess you will find these uncomfortably tight.
