That tells me these don't have arch support, but my arches have no strain with these. I have used adidas climacools, which had rough arch support like solid plastic. I also use Fila At Peake for rougher terrain, the Fila are also more rigid than these Asics. Use these on improved surfaces like roads, sidewalks, etc and they work great. For trails or other unimproved surfaces, I recommend something more rugged. |

(There are printouts online for measuring arch length that match the Brannock devices found in shoe stores.) If your arch length measures longer than your whole foot length, simply appreciate the extra toe room provided by wearing a shoe that matches your arch length. (Many foot issues are caused by folks wearing shoes a bit too small.) Now, regarding whether your foot shifts forward, here's one fix/test: Trace your foot as closely as possible, tilting the pencil underneath your foot. Then, without moving your foot, trace your foot with the pencil vertical (pencil perpendicular to the paper) to produce a wider trace. Now, remove your foot and compare the two traces at the outside edges of your foot pad (usually at the ball of the foot). IF the widest part at the ball is more forward on the wider trace than the close trace, THEN you add the distance shifted to the recommended half inch. (Remember, IF the fit of a shoe is not perfect, THEN a little too BIG IS BETTER than a little too small.) |

| Answer: | No they are not unisex. The sizes are a lot different, and the men's shoe does not have near the padding in the sole that the women do. kathya |

| Answer: | I have these shoes in the light gray/black/mint. Because I need a high arch, I took the insole out and inserted a higher arch insole. I love the way they feel and look, but after about 5 months of exercise classes, 5 days a week, the mesh on the inside of the foot wore where the 2 plastic strips are. If you look at the picture of the inside of the foot(opposite of the N), you'll see there is about 1/8th of an inch of mesh between the plastic around the laces and the plastic on the toe of the shoe. I hope this makes since. I would love to buy another pair, but 5 months is a short time for a hole to wear and it is very noticeable and ugly. |

| Answer: | I ordered the trail NB running shoes for myself & I take a women's. I ordered my women's shoe siz e and they fit me just fine. I believe they are for women not kids. Hope this helps. |
