Answer:	It is soft and comfy however the skull cap is attached to the face piece by Velcro, and not a very large amount of Velcro. I would guess it can come off in your sleep easily. At the start of the hike when temp is in low 20's use this top and a thin polyester fitting sweater, after an hour of hike and as temp approaches 30, I remove the sweater, and hike in just this base layer for the next 3 hours. Still have to remove my backpack cause my back is too hot/sweating. I have also used to $50 meriwool mid weight base layer and did not find any difference in warmth, but Tesla is softer to the skin

But they are SILICONE, and the internet taught me that the best way to get smells out of silicone is by baking it (thanks, Instapot owners!) I placed the silicone pieces on a small baking sheet in my oven at 350 degrees F, and baked for about 30 minutes. The smell baked right out of them; it was amazing!
