| Answer: | Length wise you really don't need much room. It's the width. Your going to need a good five feet to the right and left of you. You'll need to extend your arms, legs ; so space to either side is vital. Since this is not movable once set up where you set it up to start has to have adequate space. I'm fond of my reformer - and if you do go with the aero Pilates stamina brand go with the version with METAL SPRING. Not the bands it's well worth the extra money. Last year when I purchased mine it was the only "studio type" reformer on the market. Since then balanced body has released a much better moveable reformer called the IQ. I would HIGHLY recommend that brand. Even with the springs on the body balance reformer you will quickly out grow the intensity of your work out. We've replaced the wheels twice and it's fully put together properly - it's not smooth like a studio reformer. Balanced body is known for studio reformers and they've done an amazing job making a home version for the same price. |

Then you can use that to measure the EXPECTED thickness of a gold bar, and compare it against the OBSERVED thickness, measured using micrometers. Should the bar contain say tungsten which has a velocity of sound of 5175ms/, the device will deliver a measurement much thinner than the actual, showing that the material conducts sound much faster than pure gold alone, implying that there may be irregularities. Then it's hacksaw time. Say it was a silver-plated lead bar, which has a specific gravity close but not the same as silver, the velocity of sound in lead is only about 1/3rd that of silver - so using the device on a 10mm thick silver plated lead bar would give a reading of something like 30mm, showing there's obviously something wrong with the bar. Works on gold and silver bars in the 5oz-5kg size range. Useless on coins. |

| Answer: | if you size up, they will but you will need to put boots on after these not over them, even with the liner removed these are definitely summer pants! but for cool to chilly rides, these are perfect!, I went one size up and they will fit over dress slacks/khakis with no problem, just be mindful to put your boots on after these are on. They have nice protection, but hip armor will need to mold after a season or so. I wear these for riding in the NY Metro area between March-early May, late Sept through November, without feeling any chills. | Answer: | I think they are more water resistant than actually waterproof. They break the wind nicely and are very warm. They definitely keep the rain off for the short rides in the rain that I have taken with them. As for an all day ride; not sure. They are very nicely made, and I think were a very good deal. Not a definitive answer to your question, but it's the best I can do. |
