Answer:	Brian, I'm not sure what you mean that a waist of 44" should equals an inseam of 40". Unless you are 7 feet or taller your inseam should in the 40" range. But if you are in the 6' range then your inseam should be in the 30 to 34" range. Your waist size does not have anything to do with your inseam. You may need to re-measure your inseam. There are links online that will show you how to do it. But if you do have an inseam of 40" you may have to go to a big and tall men shop. Hope this helps.

Answer:	The waist is true to size, but I will say that the hips & seat, like other Wrangler's I've purchased, is not very roomy.

They are called "Authentics", which are different than the relaxed fit jeans that are labeled "Relax Fit" at Walmart. My husband found the Amazon version shorter in the crotch. We're sending them back.

Answer:	I don't know what the exact weight is, but I can tell you that my husband loves them because we live in south Florida and on top of that he has serious back issues and these are light enough he can wear them year round and not be uncomfortable. He has been wearing either Tommy Hilfiger or Ralph Lauren jeans and after a few hrs the weight would make him so uncomfortable he'd be miserable. They are well worth the money.

So I got a 38"X30" The waist is easy to measure just simply measure around where yourself where your belt goes on you. The length is the inseam from where your legs meet to right above your heal... Answer:	No, these are not. They are sanforized cotton but will shrink a bit after washing and drying. The closest style from this brand to STF would be the "Pepper pre-wash" color. Those are the havier weight in the regular fit, straight leg for LEE.

Answer:	Check the style #. The last jeans I purchased on Amazon are the European cut (2008916 ) not the American cut (2008964). I called lee and they explained the different cut. I want the American cut.

Answer:	It's confusing isn't it? I made it a research project a while back once I found a cut of jeans I liked. "13MWZ" describes this particular "Cowboy Cut" style of jeans. The Wrangler site itself is helpful with a detailed description of each style and the corresponding number at the top. If you find a pair you like and you've got them in your hand, look inside the zipper for the sewn-in label. Just above the size is the style number, like the "13MWZ." (Disregard the other multiple digit numbers, usually shown smaller and sideways on that label.) 13MWZ is for the cowboy cut (regular, not the slim-fit version of cowboy cut.) Wrangler will call both the pre-washed and "rigid" versions of these jeans "13MWZ" usually. But the heading for their RIGID cowboy cut jeans adds zeroes: 0013MWZ, but then in the body of their description, they go back to calling it "13MWZ." And SOMETIMES adds letters after the MWZ for colors. But 13MWZ is mostly what you need to remember for this style on Amazon you asked about. I saw a side view shot of me in a pair of "relaxed fit" jeans once and swore off of them forever. I have no butt and those looked horrible. I can wear these cowboy cuts comfortably and satisfy my waning vanity.That's why I tried other cuts and brands.

Answer:	No, they are regular fabric. The size I bought fit well, but they will not grow or shrink with me.

Answer:	I got the dark ones and they don't stretch at all. Go figure. The stretchy ones are called flex for wrangler. Unfortunately, the color with the word stretch in it is meaningless

Answer:	Probably so. I think some of the shape is due to the heavier seams being on the outer side instead of the inner side of the legs.

Answer:	Greetings,I don’t know how well these pants would work for martial arts purposes. The pants used in martial arts allow for relatively free movement not because they are made of a stretchy material, but because they have a gusset (cloth insert) sewn between the legs. I’m pretty sure that neither these pants (which I’ve yet to receive) nor any of the other Wrangler or other ordinary jeans I do own have such a gusset.You may be interested to know that at least one company, Diamond Gusset (with which I have absolutely no affiliation except as a former customer), actually does make “100% American Made” jeans with gussets, though I again have no idea how they’d do for martial arts purposes. Just in case things go badly, the DG people also make a version of their jeans with Kevlar lining at strategic (for motorcycling purposes) areas. ;-)
