Answer:	I don't have mine anymore, but if you take a box of cube tissues and turn it on its side (as in the photo), then measure what is now the top of the tissue box, you'll have your answer. It fits snugly inside the holder. And I'd estimate the depth of the top compartment to be about 1 - 1 1/2"

Answer:	Nope. Not at all. When you pull a tissue out the whole things gets yanked right off the table In addition , the opening doesn't line up perfectly with the opening in the tissue box meaning that the yank has to be that much harder. Mine was returned the day after I purchased it.
