Answer:	Daniel Lopez (April 9, 2018) has a short and sweet answer to this problem - you are a better man than I Gunga Din. I just wrote a "scathing" review on exactly this problem ... turns out a bit of "fiddling" got me (and I am sure you will also) into the land of "happy suspender adjustment". The most important item to remember is that the adjustment clasp (the thing with the "teeth") is made of TWO (2) parts - 1) the outside piece which we try to push down and the thing does NOT stay down or grasp the suspender material and 2) the rectangular metal ring which is connected to part #1. The "trick" is NOT to JUST push down on the outside clasp (part #1 for our discussion) - you must also do another small step. While holding the adjustment clasp with (probably) your index fingers - use your thumb (on the back closest to your body) on the metal rectangular ring and "snap" the two pieces together and voila. Again, the solution is to snap the two pieces of the clasp together and all is well in Mayberry. Good luck.

Question:	Are the straps full elastic? Some only have elastic in the back and we are looking for the entire piece to be elastic
Answer:	Cold water and put them in the dryer. The elastic does stretch so if it happens shrink them like a shirt in the dryer. Works every time. You should wash the once or twice a week to prevent this and keep smelling good.

Answer:	They are made of either fiberglass or a very high-impact plastic. I doubt if you could damage it without trying hard, and you would probably use a metal tool to do so. I have purchased 4 pairs of these suspenders over the years (various colors) and have not broken a clip yet. The clip under the belt and hold well.

Answer:	My husband is a 3xl tall size and they are fine. Also the hook on the belt is a Godsend. Answer:	don't know exactly, but I'm 5'10" but big around the center and there is still plenty of length left. FYI, these suspenders are 1-1/2" so expect more visibility then most. Also, on the plus side, they have very strong clasps.

Answer:	These are very sharp and work well to retain the waist-band. However, they do begin to damage the waist-band material quickly and should not be used with expensive pants. Best used where work clothing is needed and function is most important.

Answer:	Yes. I have been using these for my husband for at least 20 years. My husband is 6'3" and has a 54" waist. The suspenders are adjustable. When they are adjusted to fit him with his 54" waist, there is still plenty or room left to make them 6" bigger, or more. My only complaint about these is that you sometimes get a pair where the metal clips that attach to the waistband wear out over time and don't want to work anymore. I still buy them, though. They are the best-looking suspenders for a big and tall man that I have found. My husband is an attorney and like to look his best at his office and in court (or at least that was true before COVID-19). These look nice enough to wear with his suits and most of them last for a very long time.

Answer:	No. I think you will find it difficult, if not impossible, to find 100% cotton suspenders. Suspenders have to stretch to fit properly when you bend, stretch, squat, etc. Cotton has very little stretch. All suspenders of which I am aware contain some spandex, laytex or Lycra (elastic) of some kind so that they expand and contract when your body moves. If they didn’t they wouldn’t keep your pants up very well. Removing spandex, latex or Lycra (elastic) from suspenders would be like removing the elastic (laytex, spandex or Lycra) from the waistband of briefs or boxer shorts. They just wouldn’t stay up.
