Answer:	You could remove the band, however sometimes there is a bit of residual glue that may remain. If you need one without band or a custom band you should contact Aeromax directly as they will try to do this sort of thing for you.

Answer:	It is wire brimmed. Even though this hat is said to be crushable it maintains the shape you choose very well. Using it here in So. California, I thought it might be too warm being wool. It actually is cooler than my Gus straw hat and with the Dri-Lex hat band it can dry out quickly as I hike hard with it. It also cleans very well with a horsehair brush or hat sponge and if stained there are aerosol hat cleaners that work well. I have 3 of these 1 black- and 2 silverbellys. Two I use the heck of and one I keep new. These are the best hats I have ever owned and worth every bit of the price. You will love it. -Rick

Answer:	That's a very good question. The label on the inside of your hat tells you what not to do which pretty much tells you "keep it clean". If the sweat odor is what's bothers you try putting some dryer sheets in it or a little bit of baking soda
