Answer:	The hat is made in China. That being said, it is very well made, 100% cotton and looks Fantastic. I wear it quite often and always get comment on it from complete strangers. I really like this hat.

Answer:	Take it in the shower with you and simply wash it using soap, body wash or hair shampoo and rinse thoroughly inside and out. Then let it drip dry while hanging in the shower overnight. I personally wash all my hats (I probably have over 100) with Suave Body Wash for Men in the shower and they have all came out nice and soft. To make sure they retain their original shape, I usually adjust the back Velcro or rubber straps down to the smallest setting. Hope this helps.

Answer:	I haven’t washed this one but other caps I have washed I put them in a plastic cap holder made for washing caps. If it’s minimally dirty I put it on the top rack of my dishwasher and clean it that way. If you put it in a washing machine I would also add a cup of white vinegar to preserve the dark color.
